Hi loves! April, for me was like the fastest and the slowest month ever. Back when my father was with us, it felt as though he was with us for a month, then when he died, it felt like we only had his body just like that. Then during the “pa-syam”, the days also flew by very fast, and then it’s over. My dad’s officially gone for over two weeks, and it’s now the month of May. It’s like a whirlwind of emotion, I NEVER wanted to feel in my entire life, ever again.

Anyway, so sorry to rain on your parade. But despite all that, I still do have some favorites that I still were able to use up before all of those things happened, and some during. Let’s get started, shall we?

Let’s start with skincare…

Shiseido Perfect Whip Foam

My friend got this for me back when she visited Japan. She was actually the first one to try this and even her friend told her that it can really remove makeup residues to even milder makeup (without the use of makeup remover). It’s definitely more suitable to those with normal to oily skin due to its formula. It lathers really well and can leave your face squeaky clean. If you have really dry skin, I really don’t recommend it because it might strip away your skin’s natural moisture. But this has been my favorite for the past month because tbqh, I’ve been neglecting my skincare regimen lately specially when the thing with my father happened. It got too hectic that all I did with my skin was cleanse and moisturize. This has been my new holy grail and I’ll definitely repurchase a new tube after I’m done with this one.

Kracie Hadabisei 5pc Daily Mask

Kim of KimpossiblyGorgeous also got this for us when she went to Japan. She mentioned that this is very similar to Kracie Hadabisei’s All-in-One 40 Sheets Facial Mask (the one from Beauty Bar). I haven’t used those yet so I’m not really sure if they’re really the same but I really like this because the texture of this one is quite different from all of the sheet masks that I’ve tried. Also, it’s very moisturizing and it leaves my skin soft and supple after every use.

Laneige Clear-C Advanced Effector

I got this in Laneige’s new home at SM Moa, 2nd floor near Forever 21. This is actually a booster. Something that you use prior to all of your skincare products. I really love the scent of this one and the packaging is indeed very classy.

Laneige Perfect Renew Skin Refiner

This is Perfect Renew‘s version of toner and it’s more gel-like than liquid, so I use my hands to apply this. This also comes with a beautiful packaging with a pump and it also smells good.

Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence (SPF 50+ PA++++)

Bought this actually for Palawan, and because I ran out of my favorite sunblock. I’ve been hearing lots of great things about Biore and they were right. This one sets immediately allowing me to put on my makeup as soon as possible.

iWhite Korea Aqua Moisturizer Whitening Vita

This was my moisturizer back in Bulacan. I only used this and my facial wash. It’s very handy and it sets IMMEDIATELY. I once used this before but because I had a dry skin way back I didn’t think it was enough. Boy, I was wrong. Despite its lighter formula, it can indeed moisturize your skin.

Now let’s move on to makeup..

Tony Moly Petite Cotton BB Cream Delight (Honey Beige)

I got this way back during the AGC Christmas Party. I didn’t expect to like this because to be quite honest, I find Korean BB creams a bit to grayish but this one isn’t. It’s a bit more yellow toned and it offers a nice coverage.  It’s not overly dewy and it’s very lightweight. It’s really ideal for summer.

ELF Contour Palette

This has  been my favorite this past summer, to the point that I even use this as an eyeshadow. I’m actually about to hit pan on one of the darkest shades. I didn’t expect to like this more than my Lorac Pro Contouring palette but I have to say it. I actually prefer this one.

Ever Bilena Advance Lip and Cheek Stain

I’ve been hearing a lot of hype about this product and I believe that even some artists rave about this one. I took a chance and bought one. To be quite honest, I’m not really a fan of lip and cheek stains/tints, but this one’s very easy to blend. I won’t be talking much about it here because I’ll be posting a review about this soon so stay tuned!

Etude House Snowy Desert Apple Pudding Tint

I like this because it’s very lightweight yet it’s very pigmented. You don’t really feel like you have a lipstick on but it looks as if you do due to its pigmentation. It comes with an applicator and it works best with the applicator but because I was in a hurry when we went to Bulacan I forgot to bring it with me. It works with your finger too but it somehow sheers out the coverage. Nevertheless, it stays on for a decent amount of time and it’s very ideal for summer.

Shiseido Eyelash Curler

I’ve always thought I don’t need another set of eyelash curlers because I already own a couple. Then my friend went to Japan and since this is like half the price there, I asked her to buy this for me. BELIEVE THE HYPE, loves! Whatever they say about this curler is true. If you find that all of your eyelash curler tend to hurt your eyelids, or if you find that you found the one but something’s just not right? You might want to try this one. This fits my eyelids perfectly. Yes, perfectly. And it also curls my lashes beautifully. Trust me, I have Shu Uemura and I didn’t really use it that much often because I have Heroine Make, but still something’s not right, till I found this.

And now let’s move on to the final one..

Clinique Happy

This was a gift of my aunt for my mom then she gave it to me. She loves Calvin Klein’s Eternity so she’s quite biased when it comes to perfumes. I’m really bad at describing scents so I’m going to describe it as
hard
best as I can. I’m a fan of scents like Ralph Lauren’s Ralph, Eclat, Amethyste, D&G Light Blue, Cool Water, etc, those types of scents. That’s why when I got this, I didn’t like it immediately. I pictured this as something that my sister would wear (I believe that it’s also her one of her faves, lol). But I grew to love it and I actually found out that the longer you have it on, the longer it becomes more potent (on your clothes, I mean). That actually caught my attention.

So those are my favorites for the past month. I hope that you enjoyed this post. Let me know what you want to see next.

How about you? What are your favorites for the month of April?

Do let me know!
