Ever since Naked 3 came out, makeup enthusiasts/addicts have always been on the hunt for rose/blush-toned nudes that are much more affordable. There are a lot of drugstore brands that came up with their own versions and luckily, I was able to find this at the mall nearby. I don’t have Naked 3 yet and a lot of bloggers have been saying that this is almost a dupe of the famous palette. Unfortunately, I can’t do a comparison for you pretties, but once I have the palette, I’ll revisit this topic for you. In the meantime, let me tell you my thoughts about this palette..

Product Claims/Descriptions according to L.A. Girl USA

The variety of colors and textures in the Beauty Brick Eyeshadow Collection include shimmer and matte shades making these captivating palettes very versatile to go from an everyday look to a night out.

Each unique look is featured in its own luxurious glossy book with a double-ended brush and mirror inside.

-Dimensional shimmers

-Smoothest mattes

-Major pigments

The palette is housed in a cardboard packaging, similar to Urban Decay’s original Naked palette, minus the brown felt. It also has a tiny window so you can easily see the colors of each palette. You also get a dual-ended applicator (a sponge & brush tip applicator) and a tiny mirror when you open the palette.

The palette contains a combination of 12 matte, shimmery and satin blush/rose-toned shades arranged very much like the Naked 3 palette. With these shades, you can easily create either the most subtle, and sweetest look, or you can easily a really dramatic look. Depends on your preference really. I prefer sweet, subtle looks. These shades are perfect for that and you can never go wrong with ts palette.

Unfortunately, I cannot tell how spot on these shades are when being compared to the Naked 3 palette, but as for the quality, this does not disappoint. The matte shades are okay in my opinion for a drugstore product, and I didn’t mean that as a bad thing. They’re not as chalky, and the shimmery and satin shades are actually pigmented.

I also did not experience any fallouts nor difficulty in applying & blending these babies. I’ve been using these ever since I got it and so far I have no complaints.

As for the longevity, I actually used this with a primer underneath so this lasted me for more than eight hours with minimal fading. They, however, have a tendency to crease. I don’t know if it’s the primer or if it’s the shadow itself. Anyway, I’m sure if I used a different/better primer underneath (I used Essence I ♥ Stage Eyeshadow base) I will get a better outcome.

Unfortunately, I’m having a bit of cold so I can’t tell you if it has a scent. Let me get back to you on that

All in all, those are my thoughts about the L.A. Girl Beauty Brick Nudes. I’m so far satisfied with this one and despite my plans of buying the Naked 3 palette, I don’t see myself doing that anytime soon. I like the quality of this one and I prefer this as a much cheaper version. Also, I’m very impressed with L.A. Girl lately. They’ve been coming up with really good makeup and I can’t wait for their other products to come here in the Philippines.

How about you? What’s your favorite L.A. Girl Product? What’s your favorite eyeshadow palette? Let me know.
