Hey, loves! How’s your weekend? First off, I would like to apologize if I wasn’t able to blog or respond to your comments the entire week. Episode 3 of The Walking Dead Season 2 game just came out this week and I got so excited, it made me want to start the entire game all over agian. I am so into Telltale Games, you guys have no idea. Anyway, I’ve also been watching Game Of Thrones. I’m only on season one, but I love Daenerys and I hate Joffrey already. Ooh, and had I known that Peter Dinklage was there, I would’ve watched a lot sooner. I’ve always liked him. He has mad acting skills.

Anyway, I got my May BDJ Box last weekend and I have been wanting to update you loves about what I think about this box, but like I said, I’ve been quite busy these days. Anyway, here are my thoughts.

This month’s BDJ Box theme is “Summer Radiance”. Majority of the products that can be found in this box are either for the hair, body, skin and nails. This box is aimed to bring back our glowing skin, after that long hot and dulling summer. Well, did I like it? Let’s see.

Godiva Natural Skincare

12 pcs LicoWhite Whitening Lotion (6ml) | Full size 100ml | (PhP 120)

12 pcs LicoWhite Whitening Anti-Perspirant Deodorant (4ml) | Full size 40ml | (PhP 79)
Lotion: It not only provides sun protection as it moisturizes your skin, but also helps even out skin discoloration caused by skin aging, scarring and pregnancy. It contains Glabridin, a skin whitening ingredient from licorice extract that is both effective and gentle to the skin.
Deo: Achieve whiter underarms while protecting it from further damage and darkening. it has Glabridin component from licorice, a powerful skin whitening ingredient that will help lighten dark underarms faster. For best results, apply twice daily on clean skin.

If you add up all of these 12 sachets (6ml & 12 for lotion; 4ml & 12 for deodorant), more or less you will be able to get the amount of product you can get when you buy them in their full sizes. Which is why I don’t get why they had to give us the foil packets instead. If you’ve been following my blog for some time now, you’ll know that I am not really into foil packets. But since they included a lot, I might reconsider.

Organix Hair Care Set

13 oz for each bottle (PhP 499)

3.3 oz for the oil (PhP 499)
Organix offers all natural shampoos and conditioners for different hair types. For dry and dull hair, Moroccan argan oil restores shine and softness. For thin and lump hair, biotin and collagen infuses and fortifies. For weak hair, keratin oil strengthens and nourishes. Finish your look with a penetrating oil that fights frizz and strengthens your hair.

Now, I know I’m not into foil packets, but this set, I’m definitely into. I have a knack of always trying new hair products since I’ve always had a dull, weak and damaged hair. This will definitely be useful. Beats trying three full sizes of shampoos all at once.

Dermal Sheet Masks

Apricot Collagen Essence Mask & Syn-Ake Collagen Essence Mask

2 Sheets (PhP 70 each)
Restore your tired, dull skin to a healthy glow with this moisturizing & revitalizing collagen facial mask. It contains nutritional active ingredients that nourishes your skin and brings back its natural radiance. Choose from 36 different variants to address your various skin concerns – you’re sure to find one to love!

You pretties know that I am a sucker for facial masks so this will definitely be put to good use!

Too Cool For School

Pumpkin Sleeping Mask

100 ml (PhP 685)
A skin renewal sleeping pack that moisturizes, exfoliates, and shields skin while removing dead skin cells to reveal a smoother surface. Use it once to twice a week, and let the pumpkin extract and hyaluronic acid work wonders on your parched skin, so you wake up glowing!

I’ve heard of sleeping masks but I don’t own one. I’m not really that informed when it comes to these types of products so I’m definitely interested about this product. I can’t wait to use it.

Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel

in ‘Jungle’ and ‘Bare Bones’

11.7 ml (PhP 325)
Color your nails without having to worry about chipping in the midst of your summer getaway! Colorstay Longwear technology seals nails for up to 11 days of lasting color. It has a gel like finish that keeps the shine longer. Try our 30 gorgeous shades and create the nail look that’s perfect for you.

If you’ve been following my blog for sometime now, you’ll know that I really love nail polishes and I love Revlon Colorstay nail enamels. Good thing I don’t have these shades yet, because I’ve been hoarding these nail polishes like crazy. The formula of these nail enamels are superb, they last for a long time and they’re really worth every cent.

AVON Free Belle Underwire Custom Cleavage Dream Brassiere (valued at PhP 599)

idoNails, Bifesta, Lucido-L, Dr.CRB & PAC Vouchers

One of the things that I liked in this box was the Avon Bra. I haven’t claimed it yet, though. But I liked the fact that a subscription box service is giving a really personal item. That’s definitely saying something.

So those are all of the products that I got from this month’s box. Like I said, this is my first box for 2014, and speaking as someone who just got her first box, I’m not 100% in love with this box. Don’t get me wrong, there are still some products in this box that are quite a ‘hit’ but they’ve had far more better boxes than this month’s. Sure I did get what I paid for. With just the sleeping pack alone, I’ve already received my money’s worth. But I’m not exactly talking about that.

On the other hand, I’m not disappointed about this box either. This box offered is entirely unique compared to all of their boxes, and compared to it’s competitors. A bra? That’s way too personal, yet whether we admit it or not, it’s something most women prefer to overlook. There are some I know who’d rather go to 168 than to spend more than PhP 500 for her undies. This box, is so simple, yet it works.

So to make the long story short, let’s just say I’m still a bit torn. This box is definitely a hit and miss. And that doesn’t happen often in a BDJ Box. Most of their boxes are a total HIT. At least for ME.

Anyway, here’s a rundown of the full sized items I got and their total:

2x Dermal Sheet Masks

Too Cool For School Pumpkin Sleeping Mask

2x Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel

AVON Free Belle Underwire Custom Cleavage Dream Brassiere

PhP 140

685

650

599

T O T A L

PhP 2,074

All in all, it’s still an expensive box and BDJ Box still proves to be the subscription box to beat here in our country. This month’s box, though not my favorite, still gave me all of my hard earned money’s worth. If you’re still deliberating on which box you should subscribe to, then look no further.
