Don’t you just love multi-tasking products? Things that you can stuff on your bag and has two or more purposes on ‘em? I know I do. That’s why when I heard about these lip duos from Natasha, I didn’t hesitate. I know that this is something me and my readers will definitely be interested in trying out.

Product Description/Claims According to Natasha Beauty:

A lipstick on one side and a lipgloss on the other, Natasha Beauty Lip Duo comes very handy for chic women on-the-go

PACKAGING - Natasha Lip Duos’s packaging is pretty direct to the point. It has a lip gloss on one end and a lipstick on the other. The lip gloss has a doe foot applicator, which is kinda typical when it comes to lip glosses, while the lipstick already shows more than half of the product. I personally don’t dig this type of packaging when it comes to lipsticks (similar to Wet N’ Wild’s packaging) since I like my lipstick to roll all the way down to its tube. Because of my cheesy fingers, I have the tendency to nick most if not all of the sides of the lipstick before closing it.

SHADE - These lip duos are offered in 6 shades: Coral, Pink, Cosmos, Peach, Scarlet & Rose. I like both Peach and Pink since they’re both very wearable either day or night.

Coral Duo – Peach – is something that I didn’t expect to be so light. You know guys that I love my oranges/corals & pinks, and this one was no coral. More of a peach or nude. I guess that’s the reason why they named it as ‘Coral Duo – Peach’. It’s not true to the tube. In the tube you will see a vibrant, carrot-like orange (Click here for reference), while when swatched or worn, you will see a peachy nude color. Which is not bad actually, but a bit confusing if I may say so. It is still beautiful only, like I said, a bit confusing. I like wearing this with a heavy eye makeup.

Pink Duo – Pink – However, is a vibrant pink lip color, that is true to the tube. They’re both vibrant and have a brilliant opacity to cover your entire lips. I like wearing this with a neutral eye makeup.

FORMULATION/CONSISTENCY - Both of the lipsticks have a satin finish. Pink is quite opaque and was able to cover my entire lips with just two layers. Peach, however, has a sheerer so I had to apply three or more layers in order to get the coverage I want. I had no complaints with the lip glosses. They had amazing pigmentation and they were really opaque. They were a bit sticky but it’s not something that you have to be really bothered with. Both the lipstick and the lipgloss feel quite moisturizing so there’s no need to apply a lip balm if you don’t feel like it.

APPLICATION - As mentioned, the lipstick is already moisturizing so the need for a lip balm as a primer is no longer necessary. However, if you have extremely dry lips like me, then feel free (I still didn’t do it, lol). But trust me when I tell you that these lippies glide on smoothly like butter and they’ll moisturize your lips as long as they’re there. With regards to the lip gloss, both shades are opaque enough to cover my lips with just a single layer, so I need not to apply another coat.

PERFORMANCE & LONGEVITY - We all know that I have dry, chappy lips. However, that didn’t show whether I am just wearing the lipstick or the lip gloss alone. I like how this did not settle nor emphasize the fine lines of my lips. Also, as previously mentioned both the lip gloss and the lipstick are very moisturizing. With regards to the longevity, I only had two hours of wear time using both lip products (either wearing alone or both). Sadly, longevity is not really one of the product’s strongest pro’s.

♥ PRODUCT BASICS ♥

Product Name | Natasha Lip Duo

• Shade | Coral Duo – Peach & Pink Duo – Pink • Price | PhP 200
• Avalability | Natasha Dealers/Direct Sellers

SCENT - The lip product (both the lipstick & the lip gloss) has a distinct milky/chocolaty scent that is not really bad. I used to hate overly scented products but this smells so sweet, it makes me crave for a huge chocolate bar. Seriously, though. The scent is no biggie unless you really don’t dig scented makeup.

Now, to summarize..

The lip gloss is a bit sticky.
Staying power is only 2 hours.
The sweet, chocolaty scent might be a turn off for those who doesn’t like scented makeups

A bit hard to choose the shade from the brochure

♥ THE VERDICT ♥

I think that this is a great product especially for ladies who are always on the hunt for budget-friendly products. This is also appropriate for those who are always on the go and doesn’t want to bring tons of stuff. I like that both the lipstick and the lipgloss has a good amount of pigmentation. They’re affordable without sacrificing the quality.

♥ WORTH THE MONEY? REPURCHASE♥ ?

Definitely worth the money & Definitely will repurchase

It’s worth it because you get two products in one price. Basically it’s like PhP 100 for the lipstick and another PhP 100 for the lip gloss, and you’re paying wayyy low for a really good product. Have you seen those swatches? Especially those lip glosses? OMG. I’ve seen more expensive lip glosses that have lesser pigmentation! Definitely worth the money and definitely worth checking out.

FOTD - FACE : 4U2 Faith BB Cream, Naturactor Cover Face Concealer/Foundation #130 & #140, Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder; BROWS : Look Beauty Brow Perfect Kit; EYES : Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base, 4U2 Diamond Eye 2-color Eyeshadow #21, Urban Decay 24hr Glide On Eye Pencil in ‘Zero’, Clio Professional Waterproof Brush Liner Kill Black, Benefit They’re Real; CHEEKS: Sleek Face Contour Kit in ‘Medium’, NYX Blush in ‘Peach’, MeMeMe Facial Highlighter in ‘Oyster Gold’; LIPS L- Natasha Lip Duo in Coral Duo – Peach; R – Natasha Lip Duo in Pink Duo – Pink

Overall, I think the only issue I have with this product is the packaging, the wear time and the color. I really thought it was a ‘Coral’ lipstick. But who knows I might be mistaken. Regardless, these lip products are worth checking out because even if I made a mistake in picking my shade, Peach is definitely a beautiful shade and especially the lip gloss.
