Hi everyone! We’re finally back to our usual reviews since our lipstick week/series has just recently ended. To start with, I have a face product here that I’ve been meaning to show to you guys ever since I got it. It is from Collection Cosmetics (formerly known as Collection 2000), a UK brand that has just recently invaded the Philippine makeup market. It’s one of their foundations and I have here the Collection Cover & Go Foundation & Concealer Duo

Product Claims According to their Website

- This duo combines a liquid foundation to give you a flawless glow with a cream concealer in the lid to cover dark circles and imperfections.

- With a screw-top foundation and concealer cleverly contained within the cap, plus mirror for handy touch ups on the go.

PACKAGING - The concept of this product’s packaging is quite straight forward actually. “With a screw-top foundation and concealer cleverly contained within the cap, plus mirror for handy touch ups on the go” – that’s basically it. Personally, I like the idea of having two products in one packaging. I also like the color combination, in my opinion, it makes the product look classy, sleek and edgy at the same time. It does not look tacky at all. However, my concern about the packaging lies by the way the foundation is dispensed. As you can see from the photos above, the tube’s hole is a lot bigger than most of the foundation tubes that I have encountered. Therefore, it dispenses way too much product (it kinda makes the foundation look like a toothpaste when dispensed, lol) and it gets messy all over the lid. Aside from that, I have no other concerns, the packaging looks and feels really secured and I definitely consider this as a travel-friendly makeup product.

APPLICATION - As you may already know, I’m really fond of my Beauty Blender. Therefore, it was what I used in applying both foundation & concealer. I didn’t encounter any problems in terms of applying the foundation, though it appears to be quite ‘goopy’, it was still quite easy to blend. It has a sheer to medium coverage and it’s also buildable. It also didn’t look cakey on me afterwards, With regard to the concealer, however, it wasn’t as creamy, therefore a little effort is required in terms of blending & setting it. I also didn’t feel the need to use it under my eyes since my under-eye area is really dry and putting this will just make it worse.

CONSISTENCY/FORMULA - As previously mentioned, the foundation is a bit ‘goopy’. By that, I mean, it has a thicker consistency than most of the liquid foundations that I’ve gotten used to so far (Revlon Nearly Naked/Colorstay; Mememe Flawless Face). However, it didn’t matter much during application since it was still quite eas to blend. It also didn’t feel heavy on my skin, nor did my face felt itchy, as if I have tons of product on while I was wearing it. The concealer again, is not so creamy, hence it takes a bit more effort to apply and blend. Not really ideal for those people with dry skin (like me).

SHADE - The Collection Cover & Go Foundation & Concealer Duo is offered in six different shades (Ivory, Light, Fair, Natural, Medium, Dark) and the one that I’m currently using is #4 Natural. When I first saw it it, I was quite hesitant because it has a lot of pink undertones, while the concealer on the concealer on the other hand has more yellow undertones. I went home and decided to test it out to see if either of the shades will NOT match my skin tone since they’re definitely not identical, but thankfully, they went perfectly well with my skin tone and I am able to use both or either of them alone.

COVERAGE - Both the foundation & the concealer has an amazing coverage. At first layer, it evens out your skin tone, eliminating redness, blurring out pores, etc. And at second layer, it creates a perfect canvas for you and your makeup. The concealer is amazing as well, since it covers my blemishes & redness.

FINISH - The product sets in a semi-matte finish which is something that I really like because I’m no longer crazy over matte-finishes. But since I have a dry skin, I still have this concern that the foundation might cling onto the dry patches of my face. Luckily, it didn’t. It settled beautifully onto my face, giving me a flawless, healthy glow which I really like. But if you know me, I’m not really satisfied without setting my BB cream/foundation with a loose powder, I used my Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder to set it and the combination of those two products were like peanut butter & jelly.

PERFORMANCE, LONGEVITY, ETC - As for the longevity I was able to wear this foundation the entire day (approximately 6 hours) and nothing changed. I sometimes get a bit oily specially on my T-zone, but my foundation was still there. It also didn’t break me out which is such a huge PLUS!
