Sr. Service Delivery Leader – Contracts and Category Operations The primary function of the overall Category Management team is to maximize AXP's purchasing power by developing and driving global category, supplier and sourcing strategies, across multiple categories to reduce total expenses and optimize leverage. This position is accountable for managing an India based team responsible for the overall effective execution of MGS (Marketing Good and Services) Contracts and Procurement Category Operations function including (but not limited to) • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships with key US based stakeholders as well as acting as the point of escalation for third party negotiations and strategies. • Leading the India focused GCM (Global Category Management) team (4-5) supporting the negotiation and procurement processes across a variety of categories, including Financial, Infrastructure and Professional Services, Customer Services, Marketing, Advertising and Print and Technology. • Contract records management, compliance adherence, risk management, contract operations and Procurement process execution communications. • Providing end to end contract management including review, population, contract drafting, redlining and negotiations of legal terms & conditions • Supporting the overall Procure to Pay and supplier negotiation process from contracting to the implementation of deals to supplier on boarding and payment to help maximize cost benefits. • Providing thought leadership and consultative insights around contract management, risk and procurement practices to help deliver strategic solutions in support of new deals and ongoing third party relationships • Monitoring and /Ensuring compliance of Third party risk and contract requirements while capturing reengineering cost savings, cost avoidance and value creation opportunities as part of the contracting process. • Maintaining contract and operational files- serves as Subject matter expert to provide a wholelistic view of best practices, deal terms, insights and negotiation perspectives across supported categories and teams. • Interfacing with category management teams, internal customers, suppliers, Third party risk management, legal, compliance, risk, and other associated (Subject Matter Experts) assessing completeness of documents, contract drafting, Statements of Work, contracts etc. • Leading staff in gathering and reviewing incoming information to check for overall reasonableness, cleanse and analyze and confirm to GSM requirements, ensuring accuracy of documents, facilitating approvals, following up with clients on status or missing documentation or approvals, identifying and resolving any client issues, reviewing statements of work, rates, following compliance related procedures, interfacing with additional internal departments and third parties, suppliers, agencies, and or customers in following up and or completing requirements • Leading team members in Procurement Category Operations tasks such as supplier/market analysis, sourcing strategies, RFX, supplier selection and development in support of negotiations • Maintains and promotes Amex Blue Box Values by ensuring that work is completed to the highest professional, legal, and regulatory standards, and that the activities subject to review/procurement comply with the Company's stated business ethics • Managing time pressure, work load and priorities against deadlines to deliver strong results on schedule; linked to customer/ business need, urgency and importance; effectively integrates and aligns with internal business partners • Leading or participating in the negotiation of new contracts and/or changes to existing contracts and working with Global and / or Regional team to execute local/regional contracts linked to global contracts • Developing strong understanding of AXP policies and procedures, as well as compliance and risk regulations, to appropriately mitigate risk/exposure • Delivering effective presentations and written communications to internal/external audiences • Protecting the brand by ensuring controls, compliance and information security and data protection Manage the process of assuring the escalation of critical issues to the appropriate management chain for decisions and problem resolution • Responsible for working with, evaluating and recommending agreed upon customer requirements, service level expectations and strategic goals and initiatives to meet and /or exceed customer satisfaction

• Graduate with at least 9 – 12 years of post qualification experience in procurement operations and strategic sourcing is a must. Law graduate with experience in contract negotiations from reputed LPO/IT/Banking firms will be preferred • Thorough understanding and direct experience with contract law, sourcing strategies, supplier development and complex negotiations across multiple markets with good competitive market knowledge • Proven experience of providing thought leadership to overcome challenges and lead without direct authority • Excellent leadership skills with an ability to manage the group of fast placed team supporting different categories • Excellent executive presence with strong communication skills including presentation, verbal and written communication, fluency in English a must • Able to act independently with a strong work ethic and will-to-win to formulate solutions in complex fast passed environment • Has the gravitas to interact at all levels of management to support resolution of complex business issues. Contacts are frequently difficult, requiring a balance of assertiveness, tact and diplomacy • Experienced in managing large and complex procurement contracts and change initiatives • An experienced people leader with demonstrated capabilities to lead, develop, train, retain and nurture talent • Has strong influence skills team members, influence peers and manage up to senior level stakeholders and the ability to assess, develop, • Experience with various eProcurement tools like Ariba, Archer, R-Portal, AXPERT, Bridger, sharepoint, oracle etc will be advantageous • Should have a good understanding of the E2E Procure to Pay • Comprehensive knowledge of business principles such as purchasing, quality, business/contract law, licensing, leasing, finance and accounting typically obtained through a relevant Bachelor's Degree / Post Graduate / Prior Experience of Handling Procurement • Proven project management skills, including experience in successfully managing and executing multiple initiatives with proven value-add. Ability to identify and assess options and make recommendations to move projects forward • Knowledge of operational metrics, dashboard reporting, driving SLA driven deadlines and operations is a pre-requisite • Should be flexible to work in the shift environment • Strong demonstrated performance against goals and leadership in current position Shift Timings: 3:30pm to 11:30pm Job Finance Primary Location India-India-Gurgaon Organization Global Business Services Schedule Full-time Job Band 35, Tier II
