**Role Summary:**

This role will entail working independently towards design & development for software products for renewables domain in a global matrix-ed organization, currently alligned with GE Renewable Energy. Candidate should have willingness to work with flexible working hours to facilitate communication with global teams/ team members

**Essential Responsibilities:**

• Provide solution architecture, systems engineering, administration and software engineering including application and data architecture expertise with physical, virtual, cloud and hybrid environments

• Apply breadth of experience in middleware, data and web platforms to architect performance and scalable solutions

• Rapidly prototype and conduct technical feasibility assessments and proof-of-concept for business solutions

• Capture business requirements from business, product and services teams, partnering with engineering to design cutting edge solutions

• Partner with operations staff, solution architects and developers to maximize automation of critical infrastructure components (e.g. monitoring, patching, Windows/Unix deployment and administration)

• Create a “trusted technical advisor” relationship with our customer’s technologists and internal technical resources

• Implement and drive adoption of cloud computing, infrastructure solutions and service-oriented platforms across GE

• Provide deep SW / HW technical architecture feedback to our product management teams to ensure proper solution design

• Maintain and apply current knowledge of information technology; keep abreast of new and emerging technologies; make technology, process, and application recommendations that can be used to lower costs, increase performance, and add value to the customer

• Demonstrate an ongoing ability to work in a fast paced Agile environment and be able to present contributions in a group environment

• Help developing solution architecture framework to support solution selling on an enterprise & channel level

• Help to provide vision, define system and application architecture, problem anticipation and problem solving ability across the landscape

• Lead change across large platforms / functional areas using technology solutions under guidance from senior architects

• Provide deep HW/SW technical architecture expertise to ensure proper solution design

• Develop evolution path and migration plans for key GE customers from their current state to the target GE Digital Strategy by deploying Predictivity Solutions in concert with other GE Products & Services

• Shape, drive and be held accountable for delivering significant strategic initiatives across broad scope/platform(s) in liaison with key stakeholders

• Provide technical competitive analysis of comparable products/solutions in the market to internal stakeholders; Provide customer insights and feedback that helps define roadmap

• Team with business IT Architects and Developers to understand requirements and partner on design and migration activities including discovery, provisioning, testing, data migration and validation

• Maintain and apply current knowledge of information technology; keep abreast of new and emerging technologies; make technology, process, and application recommendations that can be used to lower costs, increase performance, and add value to the customer

**Qualifications/Requirements:**

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, science, engineering, technology or related discipline

• Minimum of 7 years experience in software development lifecycle (design, architecture, development and deployment), HW/SW technical sales and customer engagement

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

• Must be willing to travel 25% of time

• Must be 18 years of age or older

•Significant expertise in developing and selling SW/HW solutions, including creating and executing propositions and a track record of success

•Good understanding of the technology stack to include OS, DB, middleware, application layer, virtualization, cloud & networking technologies

•Strong experience in programming languages (such as Java), SOA and middleware

•Strong experience in IoT protocols, Industrial machine protocols, end-to-end security technologies, high availability of solutions, scaling/performance tuning and multi-region deployments

•Knowledgeable in regulatory aspects for various domains such as information security & cloud deployments and verticals such as healthcare & critical infrastructure

•Technical acumen to interface with technologists, understand complex concepts and translate in a way that businesses or industry can understand

•Masters’ degree in a related area
