Job Summary:
ITSM Project Manager leads and directs one or more projects. Delivering the project to schedule, budget and quality. The role will require management of Global resources and high levels of functional integration. In addition to duties of a Project Manager interfaces with all key stakeholders affected by the project or work stream including end users, distributors, and vendors. He/she ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. The role requires excellent technical knowledge of the project management inter-related process stages i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management. Awareness of and compliance with portfolio management, project management methods and tools and quality assurance is also required. Project manager must have proficient stakeholder relationship management skills to successfully lead and manage the project team and project stakeholders.

The project manager will be responsible for the delivery of server builds, networking , storage , data migration , data center operations and will work with transition & change managers as well as technical resources to plan and manage build, migration and implementation activities. The Project Manager is responsible for their assigned area, providing status, risk identification and mitigation, issue identification and escalation through to the overall Network operations Leader. This role may also provide backup for the area lead. Strong stakeholder management, conflict resolution, attention to detail, and working with other work streams on critical path deliverables to the deployment are part of the role. The PM should be able to lead Infrastructure modernization programs (Virtualization, Intrusion Prevention Detection, Storage Upgrade, etc).

Purpose of the Job:
Successfully execute the Global IT Infrastructure projects to agreed schedule, budget and scope.
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

• Perform the relevant project management processes - i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication , stakeholder management
• Proactively identifies risks and issues on projects , records risks and issues and defines a strategy to mitigate against them
• Manage the project in line with change and transition processes
• Possesses proven analytical skills and problem solving skills needed to manage multiple factors simultaneously
• Monitor and control the project deliverables against agreed timeline to ensure it remains on track. Including management of tasks & resources to enable successful & timely completion of the project.
• Reports on variances to the approved project baseline
• Conduct meetings as necessary and communicate with project team, management and stakeholders
• Apply solid business knowledge/understanding to manage and meet sponsor and customer needs
• Performs gate reviews and quality assurance reviews with all aspects of IT organization and business sponsors
• Delivery of projects aligned to overall business and technology strategies and architectures
• Ensures that quality project standards are met as prescribed by IT Services through the effective implementation or use of approved processes, methodologies and deliverables
• Manage to the objectives and plan by thorough risk, issue and change management across both business and IT parts of the project

• Escalates to management/governance, as appropriate

Additional Responsibilities:
1. ITSM Project manager will be expected to work independently but have regular engagement with Network Operations Leader including weekly status report
2. There may be a requirement to lead the work of other PMs, transition managers and change managers.
3. There will be a requirement to manage the work of other team member but will play a critical role in the delivery of the project including technical resources.
4. Ability to work as part of a Global team and co-ordinate efforts of teams
5. Working as part of a team of peers, ability to manage delivery of several project teams
Qualifications

•Any ITSM certifications , ITIL desired

Job Requirements:

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• Strong conceptual understating of IT infrastructure components like networking, enterprise storage, Virtualizations, Cloud technology, data center operations, Linux , Windows, Web Applications , Mailing etc
• Strong understating of IT infrastructure service management (ITSM) to manage the Operations and Project Management
• Solid Experience in Waterfall and Agile project management methodology
• Experience in managing project using JIRA and MS Project
• Experience in managing multiple projects, with personal accountability for delivering to time and cost
• Experience of core IT infrastructure /application migrations is must
• Monitors and controls project work - Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders
• Knowledge of project management methodology, tools and templates (includes project planning, schedule development, scope management and cost management)
• Knowledge and use of industry-standard project methods, tools and techniques e.g. RAIDS, budget, communication
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are essential
• Self-driven and motivated
• Strong team player with the ability to work in virtual teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (includes negotiation)
• Customer focused and able to manage multiple demands of different customers at one time
• Experience of hardware refresh program would be advantageous

Experience:
Minimum of 7 year experience in infrastructure technology related work
Other Requirements:
Flexibility and ability to work virtually across global time zones
Occasional weekend work
