As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.

We are looking for a Software Development Manager to provide solid technical leadership and manage a development team to deliver high-paced and quality releases in Responsys Interact product.
Individual will also need to be hands-on lead developer from the front, able to design reflecting highest levels of performance, quality and suitability to the enterprise goals.
You will represent the team to other external groups and serve as a consultant to management. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, creative, and work effectively with other disciplines
across the company.
Responsibilities:
- Ownnership, technical leadership and delivery of product features end-to-end.
- Manage team of developers, their responsibilities and appraisals over time.
- Help translate product requirements into technology solutions, provide detailed specifications.
- Acquire knowledge and become expert of existing big and complex code-base, evolve it.
- Collaborate with global teams such as Product Management, QA, Release Management, Architects, User Interface and Operations teams.
- Enforce Agile and software engineering practices such as coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Contribute to and manage multiple projects/features demands simultaneously
Requirements:
- B.E/B.Tech/M.S/M.Tech from premier institution
- 9 years of professional experience in Java/J2EE, web application development
- 2 years in technical leadership role. Additional people management experience is preferred
- Strong hands-on experience with Jave, Design Patterns, Spring, Hibernate/JDBC, Oracle and SQL
- Competence in full life-cycle web software development, Agile, on time delivery with high quality
- Leadership, project management, communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to quickly learn and develop expertise in highly complex existing applications and architectures
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, as it relates to application development and infrastructure
