**Job Summary**

As part of the strategic initiative, Global Delivery Centre (GDC) organisation has been established in AECOM India to provide a wide range of technical services to other parts of AECOM offices around the world. At present, GDC has a core team of 70+ personnel experienced in Building engineering and Transportation design, located in Gurgaon and Bengaluru, India. Further growth is underway to meet the plan of establishing 300+ team size, by the end of FY16, to provide technical services in multi-disciplinary building engineering, Architecture and Structural disciplines. In the initial phases of growth, dedicated teams are formed to cater to the needs of UAE and UK offices of AECOM”.

The Technician CAD/BIM Modeler's function will include liaison with the BIM Manager or BIM Director, on project related activities and in respect of establishing, implementing and maintaining Company Policy in respect of CAD/BIM Modeling.

The appropriate level of technical expertise is required in order that the Job/Project Accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standards

+ 1 to 5 Years of Experience.

+ Knowledge of UK based projects preferable.

+ Knowledge of PDS Sign & PDS Line regular knowledge and Autodesk products AutoCAD.

+ Production of technical design information including, drawings and specifications.

+ An ability to work in a team to deliver quality output.

+ A strong, self-motivated and assertive person capable of working under pressure.

+ Knowledge UK Urban Roads & Highways Standards preferable.

+ Good Command on verbal and written Communication.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ The role will require a Technician CAD/BIM Modeler to be established locally and throughout the region, drawing on skills that currently exist and developing new enthusiastic individuals within the main production centres.

+ The Technician CAD/BIM Modeler will be responsible for developing and delivering appropriate training throughout the local structural stream.

+ The Technician CAD/BIM Modeler will be closely involved with the Local or Business BIM Manager/Director in developing a local CAD/BIM “centre of excellence”.

+ He/She will be capable of making a significant contribution to the growth of the stream by proactively identifying opportunities for business advantage through innovative use of CAD/BIM Modeling technology.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ A Technican CAD/BIM Modeler will have obtained a basic technical qualification (Diploma or equivalent).

+ He/She will be responsible for preparing engineering CAD/BIM models using bespoke software.

+ The role will also include establishing the technical standards and protocol for managing the use of this software, and be fully proficient in providing full checks of models, extracted sections and RC and Steelwork details.
