Individuals in the Business Analysis job family are responsible for serving as a liaison between the business community working with IT business partner or directly with business and the IT organization to translate business needs into IT requirements. They are involved in all phases of the design, development and implementation of technology solutions throughout the business case and development life cycle processes. As Manager - IT you will: Liaises with business partners within one or more business organizations to align technology solutions with business strategies. Leads and manages multiple business processes that may cross multiple functions of the business. Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for all business analyst processes for designated work stream. Qualifications: Planning Leads or consults in short- and long-term planning efforts with team members, customers and other IT groups. Develops cost, time and resource estimates and contributes to overall project plan. Continually contributes and communicates update, status and risk progress to the project manager. Identifies priorities of requirements and matches resources with requirements. Business Liaison Establishes and maintains liaison relationship with business partners and IT organization in order to provide effective technical solutions. Business Requirements and Process Lead and drive consensus around problem definition and scope of the engagement. Elicits business requirements utilizing a structured process of gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes. Assess client inputs to differentiate wants from needs, define priorities, recommend options, assess risks and conduct cost vs benefits analysis. Leads Business Requirements work streams. Validates and approves requirements and documentation created by team. Provide structure where needed. Develops, writes, and validates and communicates business requirements and functional specifications for the design and implementation of business and/or ERP solutions. Ensures functional design meet the business requirements. Identifies and recommends new modules and enhancements to business systems needed to achieve business strategy and goals. Facilitates iterative reviews between development team and business. Ensures and validates that the proposed solution meet the business requirements. Drives for optimal solutions that meet business requirements and technical feasibility. Analyzes customer’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities for improvements. Knowledge of End to End processes within and across Business Units Leads and analyzes business processes, identifies, develops and provides recommendations for improvement/ re-engineering (for future state). Defines an implementation approach for the business process change incorporating process changes as part of the technical solution. JOB PROFILE Feasibility and Business Case Validates feasibility studies and proposals developed by team. Develops business cases. Presents and gains alignment on the recommendations of business case. Functional and User Acceptance Testing Leads and provides direction for planning, design and execution of business requirements validation testing and user acceptance testing Analyzes testing results to ensure the solution meets the needs of the business. Executes business Requirements validation testing and documents results Documents the user acceptance testing approach. Executes user acceptance testing. Contributes to QA risk assessment and test strategy development. Research/Analysis Conducts research and analysis on enhancements and third Party products that may have business value to the company. Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Recommends and reviews Service Level Agreements (SLA) with customers Participates in RFP process to select vendors for solutions in accordance with IT standards and specifications, as required Organization Change Management Creates OCM strategy and plan based on stakeholder analysis. Conducts and Reviews analysis of current and future states, and determines and validates the delta relative to required changes. Conducts stakeholder analysis to understand level of support concerning change and level of change readiness associated with key IT projects and initiatives. Ensures that the right message for the change is communicated to all the affected stakeholders Executes on Change Management activities related to End User Communication and End User Training. Works with Project Manager to integrate change management activities into overall project/program management efforts. Develops processes and mechanisms for continual evaluation of change initiative effectiveness based on data collected. Defines the measurements that will determine whether organizational change activities have been successful. Maintains program and IT staff productivity throughout change by adapting and dealing with obstacles to change as they arise. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically requires 6 or more years of relevant technical and business work experience. Has a broad level of understanding surrounding information systems and application architecture standards. Requires experience in leading projects. Experience with organizational change management is required Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret very-complex problems or processes that span multiple business areas, identify and understand requirements and develop alternate solutions.
