It will cultivate and use in-depth knowledge of leading edge products and technology, coupled with your industry and business skills, to influence clients.You will be responsible for creating solution design/architecture and corresponding bill of material based on client’s requirements and using various IBM Cloud Offerings, while helping to identify (and avoid) potential problems, to ultimately ensure the success of solution construction, implementation and system integration.As a technical expert, it will be required to provide guidance on implementation of proposed solution/architecture. This would include guidance on infrastructure sizing, deployment considerations and glue code for systems integration.What you’ll do:•You will be subject matter expert on various areas of IT Infrastructure - server, storage, network, virtualization & consolidation, software defined environments and security. Should have hands on experience in the field of virtualization technologies from (at least one vendor) IBM, VMware, Microsoft, Redhat and a good grasp of Cloud Computing concepts and building blocks of creating an end-to-end private and public IaaS / PaaS cloud solutions.•Will be required to engage with IBM clients at business level, understanding security/compliance requirements, translating them to technology solutions, writing scope-of-work and presenting technical solutions to them. Must be able to manage large and complex projects working in a matrix environment. Total experience should be 8-12 Years and relevant and proven experience (5-7 years) in following subject matter areas
+ Infrastructure (Server/Storage/Network) sizing, consolidation, virtualization and thin-provisioning
+ Hyper-visors – KVM/RHEV, VMware vSphere/ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix Xen
+ Software/Application development – Any high level programming language, UNIX Shell Scripting
+ Networking – Legacy Networking and Software Defined Networking, VMware NSX, OpenStack Neutron
+ Storage – Legacy Storage and Software Defined Storage, Object Storage, OpenStack Swift, OpenStack Cinder
+ Security – Deep understanding of application, server, storage and network security measures
+ Operating Systems – Microsoft Windows, Linux (Any Distribution)
+ PaaS – IBM Bluemix or any other competitive platform
