Position Description
The APAC Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for the configuration and support of connectivity of all systems in APAC region. This team is also responsible for Server security patching and providing compliance reporting to Sr. management team for all mission critical systems. This team is responsible for infrastructure availability and resolution of issues at 2nd level.
Ideal candidates for this position have a minimum six or more years of progressively responsible for infrastructure systems support and engineering, having a Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or other related field or equivalent education and experience.
Having certifications in the relevant field(s) will be an added advantage
* 6+ years relevant administrative experience with the Linux Systems in an enterprise environment
* Installation and configuration of Enterprise Linux like RedHat, CentOS, etc… is required
* Proficient with GFS - NFS and iSCSI storage components
* Experience in Virtualization technologies like VMWare, Hyper-V, Citrix is required
* Experience in Linux - UNIX Server security patching required
* Proven experience working with SAN based disk solutions and their configurations
* Proven experience with installation, configuration and maintenance of Backup clients
* Ability to debug and troubleshoot network, performance and software issues
* Knowledge of configuration and tuning of OS related parameters
* Ability to apply and enforce established OS deployment and security standards
* Knowledge in Microsoft Windows Server and other OS’s will be an advantage.
* Ability to understand and focus on project requirements
* Proven experience working with Dell - HP enterprise systems
* The applicant is required to have a strong understanding of Server, Storage, Virtualization technologies
* Should be able to collaborate with NOC, ITSM, Web - App and DB teams, a very good communicator and able to work in individual - team environments.
