Custody and Fund Services, is a global industry leader with $18 trillion in assets under custody. J.P. Morgan provides innovative custody, fund accounting and administration and securities services to the world’s largest institutional investors, alternative asset managers and debt and equity issuers. J.P. Morgan’s Custody and Fund Services business is comprised of Custody, Accounting, Transfer Agency, Middle Office outsourcing, Foreign Exchange, and other activities related to servicing assets for traditional and alternative funds; it leverages its scale and capabilities in more than 100 markets to help clients optimize efficiency, mitigate risk and enhance revenue through a broad range of investor services as well as securities clearance, collateral management and alternative investment services.
Function Overview
The successful candidate will be working with the team responsible for PERES client reporting, use and deployment of platforms to achieve optimization in a controlled environment. The candidate will be expected to assist in develop a client reporting function across close ended structures, develop and deploy standardized & customized reporting, client data analytics, work with teams driving change and implement operational efficiencies in a controlled fashion through effective use of our technology stack
Key Roles and Responsibilities
* Work with the global product team to come up with a standard client offering
* Develop, maintain and commercialize a standard suite of fund level and investor level reporting
* Liaise with third party technology provider, FIS, to ensure optimal use of technology
* Work on developing client reporting solutions using crystal reporting and SSRS
* Keep abreast of the product roadmap of Investran & IDX to help devising upgrade plans
* Play a key role in Investran upgrades by liaising with FIS and working with internal stakeholders to get a functional sign off on the upgrade
* Lay out a quality control procedure to ensure the defect free reports/solutions
* Evaluate/document the existing reports and normalise the reports to remove redundancy
* Evaluate technology training needs of PERE staff and devise adequate training programs to ensure effective technology usage
* Assist in managing IT direct and indirect costs for PERES platforms
* Support Sales and Client Services for clients
* Own change management process for FIS Investran and IDX for Product Management
* Conduct business process review and implement adequate process controls and checklists
Qualifications
* Deep techno-functional expertise of FIS Investran & IDX
* Crystal, SSRS and VBA skills
* Ability to converse with fund accountants to gather their requirements and the competence to convert the requirements into a reporting solution
* Strong financial and analytical skill set
* Self-starter with a proven track record in private equity fund administration
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact at all levels (both internal and client)
* Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage many tasks at once in a structured manner
* An ability to work in teams distributed across the globe and travel to onshore offices
* Specific experience supporting fund administration
The role is based in Bangalore but will involve interaction with J.P. Morgan teams across the globe
