**Description:**

Analytics Operations ensures that portfolio agnostic, asset level risk analytics used by BlackRock, its clients, and the BlackRock Solutions client’s base are of the highest quality, while simultaneously building scale and efficiency\. The team strives to build in\-depth subject matter expertise in securities risk analytics metrics, capital markets, as well of BlackRock’s proprietary risk models and Aladdin software suite to service that mandate\.

Responsibilities:

+ Monitor and review risk analytics for newly traded and/or newly issued securities on Aladdin, in addition to reviewing suspicious movements in risk analytics for existing instruments\.
+ Refinement of analytics workflow and logic, and the modelling of esoteric assets in Aladdin\.
+ Manage relationships with stakeholders and ensure the proper governance and oversight of risk analytics policies and procedures\.
+ Use technical skills to ensure the accuracy of large analytical data sets, automate processes with scripts and macros and efficiently query information from a vast database\.
+ New Instrument and Unsupported Asset modelling\.
+ Be a ‘Student of the Markets’ by following the global markets to understand how macro\-economic factors can affect the analytics and investment decisions\.
+ Partner with the Market Analytics and Financial Modeling groups to understand, test, and implement modelling changes across the platform\.
+ Show desire to work in a constantly evolving, changing and challenging environment\.

Qualifications:

+ Candidate must possess and demonstrate a working knowledge of fixed income, equity and derivative instruments as well as finance with the skills and ability to work in an entrepreneurial and team oriented environment\.
+ Candidate must have enthusiasm for, and comfort with, working at a fast and furious pace while maintaining quality and the integrity of investment data\.
+ Candidate must have flexibility regarding their work hours
+ Candidate must be able to work multiple shifts at different times throughout the year
+ Candidate must have the ability to quickly learn the intricacies of complex financial instruments and adapt their technical ability quickly
+ Excellent communication skills to enable clear articulation while working with internal and external clients
+ A college degree in Finance, Computer Science, or Engineering is required
+ Working knowledge of technical tools such as SQL, Unix commands, PERL, etc\. is a plus
