Nuance Communications, Inc. is looking to fill Oracle Applications Senior Functional Consultants to support and enhance Oracle Applications in the Business Systems group within the IT organization. They seek experienced functional consultants who can closely work with the Business users to support and enhance customized Nuance Oracle EBS modules in a multi-shore model. The right candidate must be disciplined, dynamic and flexible to manage multiple projects, be an excellent team player, work effectively in a rapidly changing environment and meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines. Candidate must be a self-starter, who can work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
Work collaboratively with Business users to understand the business and functional requirements.
Work closely with the team management and development teams to continuously improve and meet delivery metrics.
Implement and apply best practices in the functional team.
Provide direction to the Junior Analysts to develop solutions considering sound implementation alternatives and design recommendations.
Functional expertise in more than one primary Oracle EBS module is desirable.
Ensure SDLC, development standards and quality guidelines are adhered to, in all the phases of the development and unite test cycles.
Exhibit flexibility in handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced IT environment
Number of Years of Work Experience:
6-10 years of IT experience, including 5+ years in a functional team focused on Oracle EBS architecture architecture, design and development in a multi-shore environment.
Proven experience in implementing large-scale full life cycle (Analysis, Design, Configuration, Development and Testing) projects in Oracle EBS Applications modules.
Extensive experience in requirements capture and functional specifications and overall management of the functional team
High level understanding of integration points between enterprise systems like SFA and Oracle ERP is a plus.
Prior experience in software design, development, implementation and support using Oracle technologies.
Required Skills:
Requirement gathering, As-Is documentation, Business Process Mapping
Application configuration/setup for Oracle Applications R12 (Inventory, Purchasing, GL,AP,AR, OM, PA etc. modules) and custom extensions in the various instances of the release life Cycle
Conference room pilot testing, unit testing, and integration testing. Test script preparation.
Knowledge of different development methodologies used with Oracle development projects.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate functional and technical issues and lead efforts to resolve problems.
Validate Requirements, develop effort estimates and suggest alternatives including solution approaches that minimize customizations to installed applications.
Ability to manage and review work with development team members.
Ability to influence others to achieve results and timely delivery.
Coordinate with support team to resolve technical issues.
Capable of leading, organizing and prioritizing development related IT initiatives.
Strong Communication and interpersonal skills a must.
Excellent mentoring and coaching skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytic skills.
Flexibility, business acumen, and a collaborative attitude.
