**Purpose of job role**

The Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility (S&CR;) Program Manager is appointed to deliver a comprehensive program in order to secure Ericsson S&CR; wanted position and leadership at the Regional level.

The S&CR; Program Manager is responsible for executing the S&CR; strategy , to create measureable value for the company and its shareholders, by reducing risk and increasing positive impacts, making the world a better place with our technology and skills. The S&CR; Program Manager is also responsible for developing and managing the S&CR; program objectives, introducing the business capabilities and securing expected business to deliver and integrate into the S&CR; strategy, targets and wanted position at global and/or regional level.

The Program Manager is responsible to run S&CR; activities across the Region, and to set up an efficient way of working across the Region. Managing the Regional programs includes implementation of policies and directives, execution of S&CR; strategy and Technology for Good initiatives, and consolidating the overall result on a regional level, including securing the quarterly reporting according to time plan, assessing and mitigating S&CR; risks, providing a monthly business report and contributing to the yearly S&CR; Ericsson report.

Moreover, the Program Manager is responsible for tracking the contribution of each project or deliverable within the program from a socio-economic and or environmental perspective, to the consolidated program outcomes and to engage and communicate to all relevant regional stakeholders, regarding the program objectives, performance, issues.

The SCR Program Manager in India is also responsible for ensuring compliance to the CSR law which states that Companies ought to spend 2% of their average net profits for 3 preceding years in corporate social responsibility activities annually. This entails reporting, monitoring and documentation (programmatic and financial) of all Ericsson’s CSR activities (typically ‘Technology for Good’ and ‘Connect to Learn’ projects), management of CSR budget and cost center, and supporting SCR Head in quarterly reporting to the CSR Committee of the Ericsson India Board. The Program manager is the key interface between the Region, GF SCR, legal and finance teams (internal), CSR implementation partner (internal) and monitoring & evaluation partner (external) and is required to have the skills for end to end management for successful execution and reporting of CSR programs in India.

The Program Manager is part of the Global S&CR; Leadership Team.

Reporting: Locally hosted in line organization with dual reporting to Global Vice President Sustainability & CR

Internal: Vice President Sustainability & CR; S&CR; Team on Group level; various members of the broader sustainability community such as other Regional S&CR; program managers; Program Sponsor and Program Steering Group if applicable, Resource owners, Project Managers and Relevant Functional Areas (such as Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Communications, incl brand, Government & IR, OD, HR, Sourcing, BUs,Research,)

External: External stakeholders could include Customers, Partners, 3rd Party Suppliers, governments, relevant Non-Governmental Organizations, civil society, academic contacts and external industry contacts.

**Qualifications and experience**

* At least 5 to 7 years demonstrated work experience in Sustainability and CR, or related area. Experience in marketing, business development, strategy, government and industry relations a plus.
* Post graduate qualifications (eg masters), in the Sustainability/environmental/CR area
* Preferably experience of government policy and play a lead advocacy role
* Experience of project management, customer engagement
* Ability to drive change and strong leadership qualities in general
* Strong social and networking skills and experience – from internal as well as external stakeholder perspectives
* Demonstrated ability to engage with C-level or ministerial level stakeholders
* Solid ability to analyze and react on possible risks that could be negatively associated with company actions
* Good knowledge of Ericsson ways of working and portfolio
* Strong communication and public speaking skills, including excellent written and spoken English
* A global/international perspective and experience, and good understanding of global sustainable development challenges
