Overview of activities:
The role of a Talent Acquisition Specialist is to work within the HR Shared Service & Recruitment part of Group HR. Specifically, it sits as part of the BT Recruitment team. BT Recruitment is responsible for the delivery of all EMEA internal and external hires. These hires join BT across all of the LoBs (Lines of Business) across CBS, TSO and any other LOBs.

The Recruitment Team also manages Programme Recruitment and provides strategic Recruitment business Planning, which includes BT’s Campus hiring, Graduate, Under Graduate, School Leaver, MBA and Fast Track programmes.

. The TAMs provide a dedicated account management service to allocated LoBs (Lines of Business) and manage all of their recruitment needs. Supporting these Talent Acquisition Managers will be a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is primarily accountable for sourcing both active and passive candidates and building talent pipelines for future requirements through cost effective channel.
like social networks (such as LinkedIn), database mining (talent/ applicant databases), traditional networking (event sponsorship/ open evenings), establishing partnerships with external bodies (CA, Linguist centers, colleges and networks), WoM (word of mouth, employee referrals etc) and the creation of professional alumni (virtual & face to face).

Another key responsibility is to manage the overall BT employer brand, both internally and externally on various SoMe (Social Media) channels. The BT brand needs to be presented in a consistent, targeted way in order to be considered an employer of choice. With this in mind, the Talent Acquisition Specialists will be expected to create and manage ‘pools’ of suitable talent to drive candidate engagement. They will also ensure that the employer brand is embedded throughout the whole candidate lifecycle and that candidates receive a first-class experience and are kept well informed at all times – setting candidate pledges and ensuring that they are adhered to.

Talent Acquisition Specialists may also be responsible for volume and programme recruitment.

Specific activities:

* D eliver an end to end managed recruitment service to multiple Lines of Business through various sourcing strategies, adhering to SLAs, creating service frameworks, measuring effectiveness, producing MI etc

* Work with Talent Acquisition Managers to assist in the forecast of annual recruitment needs and develop sourcing and attraction plans to ensure a steady pipeline of quality candidates for BT’s current and future requirements ( This is senior staffing Specialist role)

* Deliver increased quality of hire through robust assessment and selection tools

* Manage stakeholders and drive relationships within Lines of Business to ensure effective fulfilment of vacancies (using the most cost effective method of recruitment) and adherence to Recruitment Policy ( Senior Staffing Specialist role)

* Give priority to internal talent pools and ensure everyone at BT has the opportunity to apply for vacancies

* Engage with external talent through networking, researching, mapping, creating candidate pools via job boards, social media etc, and create fluid talent communities

* Ensure all candidates adhere to India/ EMEA employment legislation

* Work with and maintain the HR system Taleo Enterprise with a high level of data integrity

* Manage 3rd parties and preferred suppliers, where necessary

* Take an innovative and proactive approach to external market intelligence / competitor campaigns

* General recruitment activity to include posting roles internally & externally, CV sifting, candidate screening, shortlisting roles, organise hiring manager briefings, facilitate hiring decisions, etc

* Talent Acquisition Specialists will work on tickets allocated by Sourcing and Administration Center Lead to start work on any sourcing.

* The Talent Acquisition Specialist will then get on a call with Senior Staffing Specialist for generic roles to get the job specification, must haves for the role and understand the sourcing methodology for the role. The Senior Staffing Specialist will ensure that a/Sourcing guideline (also called Sourcing Strategy)/is shared for the role.

* For specific / niche roles, the Talent Acquisition Specialist along with the Senior Staffing Specialist and where necessary the TAM should have meetings with LOB managers to understand the role specification and clarify any gaps in understanding.

* The Talent Acquisition Specialist should be informed by the Senior Staffing specialist around confidentiality and any other restrictions for hire for the role.

Experience
* Extensive knowledge and experience of the recruitment industry, gained from both in-house and, ideally, external agency environments

* Must have onsite experience of delivering end to end candidate management within a large, complex organisation

* Excellent & demonstrable stakeholder management skills, ideally gained within a matrix management environment

* Essential to have external candidate attraction experience; networking and sourcing candidates and researching candidate pools via job boards, online databases, social media, alumni, WoM etc.

* Essential to have internal candidate attraction experience, ideally working within priority/ redeployment markets

* Thorough experience of delivering direct candidates, sourced from multiple markets (sourcing passive candidates, industry market mapping, LinkedIn and other social networking sites etc)

* Experience of lifecycle candidate management, from requisition through to offer management & contracting

* Experience of managing conflicting priorities and workloads within a busy team environment

* Essential that you have experience of working with/ using applicant tracking systems and HR databases (ideally Taleo) with a high level of data integrity.

* Demonstrable experience of delivering results & delivering against individual and team targets

* Well organised and structured approach to workload - excellent planning skills

Qualification-

* 3 yrs experiance in Sourcing through Direct/Indirect channel.

* BPO Hiring Experiance

* Preferably an MBA in HR.
