**Job Description**

Shell’s Management Information Centre of Excellence (MI CoE) is looking for a BusinessObjects Team Lead to manage our BO capability. The successful applicant will be responsible for day to day management of a large pool of Junior and Senior BusinessObjects developers, ensuring successful delivery of multiple projects as well as overseeing the development of skills within the team. This individual will also play an instrumental role in growing our new Bangalore team.

In addition to the team leadership role, the successful candidate will be responsible for interfacing with the business at multiple levels to perform business analysis, to identify and prioritize opportunities and to propose and deliver solutions that are in line with Shell's SAP strategy. The Team lead will work with the team to plan and deliver projects and enhancements according to IT roadmaps that are agreed with stakeholders such as portfolio managers and architects, as well as business user communities.

This senior role would suit a candidate with not only very strong technical skills but also project & programme management experience.

+ Ability to work independently without guidance or supervision.

+ Can aid in estimating front end implementation efforts for budgeting and planning purposes.

+ Able to drive workshops with the business to gather requirements and translate those to front end and reporting solutions.

+ Ability to understand business requirements and translate into business plan.

+ Experience with working in Agile projects.

+ Experience with implementing Cloud, PaaS and SaaS solutions.

+ Experience with Continuous Improvement ways of working.

+ Experience with IT controls, compliance and security.

+ Preferably good understanding of the Oil & Gas industry.

**Requirements**

+ Graduate or Post graduate in any discipline.

+ Years of experience 12 - 17 yrs

+ Technically credible in the area of frontend reporting technologies.

**Technical Skills:**

+ Web Intelligence

+ Create complex Web Intelligence documents using advanced query and reporting techniques

+ Combined queries and sub-queries.

+ Character and date string functions.

+ Variables and calculation contexts.

+ Link documents using hyperlinks

+ Information Design Tool.

+ Understand advanced data foundation and business layer functionality in order to provide robust reporting capabilities to business users.

+ Create universe from different data sources, Create multisource Universe and relational source, Join Tables etc.

+ Working knowledge of SQL and relational, also OLAP database management systems concepts and structures

+ Bex Query Designer

+ Expert understanding of BEx Query designer

+ Use of structures

+ Use of exception aggregation and non-aggregating key figures

+ Ability to create and adjust user exit variables

+ BO Dashboards / Xcelsius 2008

+ Create interactive visualizations based on Microsoft Excel workbooks using BusinessObjects™ Xcelsius Enterprise 2008.

+ Able to quickly create visualizations and dashboards with minimal effort.

+ Design Studio

+ Use different components to create and design applications

+ Use scripting to realize more complex scenarios

+ Design applications optimized for desktop clients. Experience optimising designs for mobile devices is also desirable

+ Understand the integration scenarios with the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform

+ Strong understanding of JavaScript to define custom components in Design Studio

+ Ability to map business process to end to end reporting designs

+ Should be familiar with methods for connecting their dashboards to popular live data sources (SAP HANA, BW, SQL Server).

+ Should be able to shorten their development time using templates, themes and best practices when designing dashboards.

+ Understands data visualization best practices and theory. E.g. Tufte.
