Dell IT is looking for a motivated business systems analyst to deliver IT solutions supporting Dell’s world class Supply Chain with a background in Sales & Operational Planning and/or Procurement capabilities.

DESCRIPTION
This position will be responsible for transforming Dell’s business process plus driving and facilitating business process improvements and writing requirements to transform, scale, and run Dell’s Supply Chain.

The candidate will be accountable for ensuring complete and accurate business requirements, partnering and helping facilitate sessions with the business team as well as provide guidance to the business and help the team drive to the desired future state. Participates as an active and advocating member of the project team, working with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop and prioritize requirements while playing a key role in trade-off discussions. Understands project risks and helps the team understand business impacts and benefits.

A background in Supply Chain Business is desired. An understanding of IT constraints and the ability to negotiate to a positive program outcome is required. Although this is an IT role, the individual will work closely with the business team and be a valuable and strategic partner to the business & IT teams.

Key Deliverables/Responsibilities/Accountable for:
– Drive & facilitate complete and accurate business/system requirements
– As-is and to-be process mapping and gap analysis, development of alternative process scenarios and use cases
– Regular participation in program/project team meetings
– Coordinates across local subject matter experts to ensure solid business requirements and acceptance of the solution
– Assist Development and Support teams with identification of key performance metrics for this solution space. Use these to find re-engineering/continuous improvement opportunities
– Provide input to user acceptance test cases and defect/issue severity
– Support as needed the development, system test, user acceptance test stages aligning the business with IT
– Develop strong functional knowledge for the Planning and Procurement business processes and systems

* 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
* Advanced knowledge of system development methodology, project management, system architecture and analytical/problem solving skills
* May require occasional travel
