Position Summary:

The Suitability program delivers a technology solution to support many regulatory directives and requirements globally. The solution covers many different aspects of the client and trade lifecycle:

· Capturing data from clients, from multiple channels (online and paper)

· Algorithmically determining, from the captured data, the clients’ appetite for risk and their understanding of different investment products

· Calculating the risk the different products clients may invest in

· Pre-trade checks to ensure all trades made for a client are suitable

· Post-trade checks to evaluate various aspects of each client’s overall portfolio

· MIS, enabling reporting to internal compliance and external regulatory bodies

This role is for a hands-on developer working on the MIS and reporting components of the Suitability program. The goal of this stream is to provide solution and associated services for capture, storage, retention, and visualization of data within the Client Suitability space. The overall Platform provides solutions towards management of structured and unstructured data associated with core data and functional data within various work streams of Client Suitability. The end goal is to provide storage of data and produce MIS reports for various business streams within the program.

The group follows an agile development methodology based on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Responsibilities:

· Ability to analyse complex business challenges and data requirements and solve these requirements by the delivery of effective reporting solutions and KPIs.

· Creating detailed design documents

· Design and implement intuitive and efficient Suitability MI solutions using enterprise data visualization and reporting technologies like QlikView, Tableau, Spotfire or Jasper Reports and adhere to SDLC best practices.

· Sound understanding of areas such as test driven development (TDD), BDD and would be required working in a forward thinking environment.

· Perform Unit testing

· Doing the peer code review and involved in integration testing.

· Providing support to the development team in resolving the issues encountered in Dev, integration, UAT, production environment.

· Collaborate with technical groups (development, unit testing, integration testing) and operational groups (Operate, Infrastructure, Release Management) across regions (APAC, EMEA, USA).

Experience & Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree with specialized coursework in Computer Science or Management Information Systems

· 8 years of experience developing enterprise-grade data integration solution

· 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, preferably, Qlikview or any other Analytical Products for dashboard / report development

· Extensive experience in database technologies and ability to provide frameworks and code in various technologies including Greenplum, Java, Hadoop, Splunk, Informatica and others.

· Expertise in data stores (both transactional and non-transactional) and ability to code in a highly concurrent environment.

· Prior ETL development job experience required; 2 years of experience ideal

·

Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations. Experience of Agile or Lean methodologies is crucial.

· Ability to learn quickly, manage work independently and is a team player

·

Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies to ensure the early and continuous delivery of software

· Proven ability to create and execute queries, pivot tables and reports from database sources.

· Good database skills, experience in Sybase, Oracle; knowledge of SQL

· Experience with Quality Center, Jira

Additional Skills:

· 2 years of experience developing data integration jobs in the Hadoop environment, including hands-on experience with MapReduce, Spark, Pig and Hive

· Job scheduler tools: preferably CA experience but any scheduling tool experience could suffice

· 3 years of experience working with MPP data warehousing platforms such as Greenplum

· Experience to Agile development lifecycle, Scrum Methodology will be a big advantage

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Good interpersonal skills, having positive approach and team player.

· Good prioritization and time management in a fast paced environment.
