**Role Summary/Purpose**

The Imaging Detection & Guidance Solutions (DGS) business is seeking an Electrical Engineer with strong systems and core electrical knowledge. The Electrical Engineer understands the practical application of engineering principles, achieved expertise in Electrical Engineering specially in Power Electronics, and investigates new techniques to find solutions as part of a team, responsible for designing/maintenance of electrical product/subsystem solutions for global DGS products

**Essential Responsibilities**

Develop Power supply circuits, simulations and propose right solution for a defined problem. Identify weaknesses in design and come up with technical solutions with customer and business focus.

• Designing at least one of the following electrical components, interconnects with complete system or sub-system integration Power Components, Converters and Analog circuits.

• Have previous experience of designing power modules (DC-DC SMPS and AC-DC)

• Engaging in all phases of development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support as needed.

• Lead and support Technical Design Reviews with Senior Engineers & Architects.

• Strong knowledge on PCB designing & experience in EMI, EMC and other safety standards testing

• Identifying and developing new opportunities to leverage modality level initiatives like Variable Cost Productivity

• Trouble shooting customer issues related to electrical system/sub systems and providing the timely quality centric solutions

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree with a working experience on Power Electronics and Analog circuits.

• Around 3-5 years of relevant hands on experience in Power Supply Design, Selection of right converter topology, Battery Chargers.

• Should have worked with Circuit breakers, Relays and contactors

• EMC compatible design and solution experience

• Circuit design and simulation tool experience

• Excellent teamwork, coordination and communication skills

• Candidates with board design experience will be preferred.

**Desired Characteristics**

1. Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferably with Power Electronics background

2. Knowledge of fundamentals of power supply board design & Simulation Software like Cadence, LTSpice.

3. Competence in UPS design and Battery selection, cabling, Transformer design/selection, Power factor correction circuit design, Design for reliability.

4. Overall good knowledge of PCB layout guidelines, Design for EMC

5. Knowledge of IEC60601 family of Medical Electrical Equipment safety and performance specifications.

6. Demonstrated technical leadership capability in integration activities

7. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task

8. Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets

9. Effective oral and written communication skills
