Our Team
The GWM Centralised Lending Team (CLT) is designed to handle a high volume of lower risk credit transactions including Advised Lines of Credit, Term Loans, Derivatives and Standby Letters of Credit all fully secured by high quality marketable securities with standard loan documentation. CLT aims for a two day turnaround on credit approval and sending out loan documentation. CLT members work together with to deliver quality analytical results within credit and regulatory policies and deliver outstanding service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility / Transaction Processing:
· Track clients due for annual review and initiate preparation with lender.
· Manage annual review volume to ensure risk grading and client experience is not negatively impacted.
· Assist CLT Lender in determining specific collateral value of marketable securities.
· Prepare credit write-ups for fully secured credit facilities.
· Establish and monitor proper linkages between the Corporation Credit Systems.
· Advise market partners and other team members on facility rates, collateral values and credit exposure information.
· Coordinate with internal staff and external constituencies to ensure approved facilities are correctly booked.
· Maintain electronic credit documentation and file maintenance within Corporate Repository Systems.
· Participate in regular credit training to continually enhance credit skills.
Partnership :
· Respond in a timely manner to Lender, Banker, Client Service and Capital Advisor inquiries.
· Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA) partners to address and remediate findings in a timely manner.
· Participate on special initiatives in response to emerging credit, market and technology events.
· Enhance partnerships to achieve process improvements between team members, market partners and service groups.
Qualifications:
· Strong written & verbal communication skills
· Ability to multi-task and reprioritize work & demands throughout the day.
· Demonstrates attention to details and accuracy in approach.
· Excellent relationship building & interpersonal skills.
· Strong analytical skills, including financial analysis.
· Proficiency in Excel and Word.
· Interest in structuring credit transactions.
· Ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders.
· Ability to learn about financial derivatives, investments and wealth advisory capabilities.
· Ability to complete projects with limited supervision.
· Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
· Credit Risk Infrastructure & International Private Bank applications experience a plus.
