This position is a landmark role in the enhancing Honeywell’s Mobile Strategy. The MobilitySolutions Architect will be the key role in defining Honeywell’s mobile strategy, roadmap, and architecture and delivery approach.
He/she will lead the mobility assessments to define mobile transformation roadmaps and architecture and act as the lead architect and design authority in mobile delivery and contribute to mobility services.
The right candidate will have a very strong mobility solutions background, experience with both startups and larger companies, and the proven ability to deliver in dynamic scenarios.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Support in Developing and defining*HTS’s Mobile Platform Strategy*keeping the alignment with overall company strategy and growth vision.**
* Identify cross functional growth opportunities (across Business Groups) in Mobility and accordingly create the technical roadmap.
* Define and execute HTS Mobility Platform, Architecture best practices, tools to bring down cycle time and software engineering practices to enhance the overall*customer experience.*
* Subject matter expert who can keep track of*latest technical developments in mobile, cloud, IoT and analytics*,*advancements in the industry*and can apply the relevant technologies to Honeywell offerings to create competitive differentiation.
* Work with strategic industry partners and ecosystem to implement mobility solutions which will places Honeywell in key strategic position.
* Partner with Honeywell’s High Growth Regions to create customized mobility solutions which can drive significant customer value.
* Should be hands-on and well versed with the IT practices and processes like*proof of concept (POC) and prototyping. Should be able to drive results- right and fast.*
* Assess mobile technology choices to determine relevance for Honeywell’s offerings.
* Act as a trusted advisor for Honeywell’s select clients from a mobility solutions standpoint.
* Establish and maintain the strong partnership with Business Leadership, Engineering, Strategic Marketing, and IT Innovation and delivery team in making technology and architectural choices to bring in the right software, hardware and people capabilities, inside and outside of HON.
* *Should be a thought leader in the domain and look for avenues to leverage industry practices like “open source”, crowd sourcing, etc.*
* *Be Honeywell’s evangelist*for mobility solutions internally and externally.
*Role Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in Engineering.
* Around 10 to 15 years of relevant experience, 3 Mobility domain experience is an added advantage.
* Capable of analyzing scalable and complex architectures and layouts and translating that analysis into efficient technical strategies and code
* Expert knowledge of Mobile application Architecture, Functional Analysis and Agile Software Development.
* Well versed in software engineering best practices around Dev-Ops, test driven development, design thinking.
* Fully conversant with OOP principles, software development frameworks and design patterns
* Extensive understanding of pros and cons of Cloud Computing, Virtualization, MVC frameworks, NoSQL Databases, Agile Development, The UNIX Way, MIT Open Source License, Restful APIs
* Expert knowledge of Web Services consumption via HTTP, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON parsers.
* Professional and expert knowledge of Android SDK, Objective-C / Swift / iOS Development, Java, Android app and platform Development.
* Expert knowledge of tools like GIT, JIRA
* Able to work in a fast-paced team environment and be adaptable to the demands of all levels and types of production duties.
