Business Description:

The position is within the Capital Reporting Regulatory department of Finance. The group is a service-orientated business comprised of specialised individuals with knowledge and expertise in understanding, managing and delivering financial information to our regulators. The group is also dedicated to adding value and improving efficiency, quality and controls.

The regulatory finance department is a high profile function, providing financial information to the Prudential Regulation Authority (“PRA”), Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) and the Bank of England.

The core responsibilities of the Capital Reporting Group are:

* Preparation of monthly, quarterly and biannual returns for the following solo regulated entities and their associated UK consolidation groups: JPMorgan Securities Plc (JPMS Plc), JP Morgan Europe Limited (JPMEL), JPMorgan Markets Limited (JPMML), JPMorgan International Bank (JPMIB)

* Daily monitoring and preparation of capital adequacy and large exposures reports for the above entities

* Interpretation of the Regulatory rules which forms the basis of PRA reporting and providing regulatory guidance to the business

* Partnership and supporting other Finance areas with other reporting requirements (e.g. recovery and resolution, ICAAP)

Job Responsibilities:

Daily:

* Preparation of daily reporting for review by London team (e.g. collateral report for Treasury, large exposures and daily capital adequacy)

* Daily capital variance analysis, including validation of material movements and preparation of commentary

* Preparation and input of adjustments (e.g. margin period of risk, margin loans)

* Preparation of offline calculations for review by London team (e.g. SQH capital deduction and charge)

Monthly/Quarterly:

* Reconciliations of AXIOM data to SAP GL using Galaxy, including preparation of adjustments

* Preparation of some external reporting for review by London team (e.g. Covered bonds, FDSF, Interbank)

* Critical validation clearance

* Capital variance analysis, including validation of material movements and preparation of commentary

* Produce offline calculations for review by London team (e.g. FX PRR, Dividend futures, Vol & Var swaps)

Other:

* Develop familiarity with AXIOM

* Develop familiarity with Basel 3 rules and COREP reporting requirements

Experience:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel (pivot table and vlookup), Access, Outlook, Word and Powerpoint

• Capital adequacy reporting under CRD IV and COREP desirable

• General accounting, reconciliation and finance knowledge essential, preferably from a Regulatory environment

• Experience of Axiom at a user level although this is not essential

• Investment banking product knowledge would be an advantage but not essential

• Qualified CA with 2-4 years experience
