We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will assist with the day to day operations, make improvements in deployment, design and build monitoring enhancements, and help with all other needs to ensure applications move to production and operate efficiently and with stability once there. The challenges are many, and experience with large operations environments is essential. The ability to work in a team is essential, as is the ability to negotiate conflicting priorities between groups.
Responsibilities :
3 years of experience working with Windows in a systems administrator role or similar
Development/Software Engineering experience a plus (Devlopment or QA)
Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools
Familiarity with Virtualization and Cloud Infrastructure (Amazon, RackSpace, OpenStack)
Provide Intermediate/Advanced level support and troubleshooting Windows systems
Hardware experience a plus (HP Server hardware)
Develop and improve tools for common tasks and processes
Work closely with Engineering teams on production application deployments and defects
Experience with Database technologies (MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres preferred)
Create and Document procedures for use within the operations team
Participate in an on call rotation to resolve after-hours problems Qualifications: Education and Experience:
Excellent communication skills
3 years industry experience, preferably in a production operations environment
3 years Windows Server Operating system experience (troubleshooting, installation)
Experience with IIS, Apache webserver installation
Experience with system and application troubleshooting
Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Firewall, VPN)
Scripting ability
Excellent time management skills
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited university
