Enterprise Service Reporting engineer to join the Global Project Services Engineering and Technical Consulting team. Your past experience matters, but equally important to us is what you can do going forward. Under leadership of the Technical/Team Lead, the reporting engineer is responsible for defining the end to end technical aspects of capability reporting solutions (identifying reporting gaps and dependencies; creating standard report mappings for legacy reports to FMO reporting; creating related reporting training; providing technical expertise related to day-to-day reporting issues).

Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with accounts and stakeholders to research and elicit, analyze, validate and document report mappings, and to ensure that those mappings accurately reflect true business needs for each reporting capability (as assigned).
Review data extraction scripts to validate data, and work with System Managers to trouble-shoot and investigate errors in data extraction.
Confer with Data Source system managers to ensure source data configuration issues follow SRA standards.
Coordinate with service and portfolio managers, Tech Leads, engineers, or 3rd party vendors of software where necessary.
Educate report generation team on structure and data relationships within the data warehouse.
Report configuration and customization
Meet requests from the report generation team for new report design as they enter the Reporting Services funnel.
Understand the overall data storage architecture and the North American data mart components.
Work with Front Office and Implementation teams to verify delivery ability and provide data extraction on both standard reports and requests for non-standard reports where the ADM has issued a change order.
Successfully resolve technical issues from incoming internal or external businesses and end user’s contacts and proactive notification systems
Identifying reporting gaps and dependencies; creating standard report mappings for legacy reports to SRA reports
Knowledge of OpenView tools and applications used in monitoring and reporting.
Basic understanding of data sources, database tables and structures, and reporting tools used for report generation / web publishing
Review of data quality and integrity.
Expert problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
Promote an effective teamwork environment.
Qualifications: Qualifications:
years of IT experience
3 years of Business objects, integration and database experience
Knowledge of Report publishing tool sets such as Business Objects, Crystal Reports, MSRS, SDA, Oracle, Infoview
Knowledge of data feeds, database tables and structures, OLAP cubes, ETL scripts and other reporting tools used for report generation
Knowledge of OpenView tools (OVSC or OVSD)
Working knowledge of Service Manager, Asset Manager
ITIL Foundation Certification
Database knowledge (Microsoft SQL Server)
Microsoft Visual Studio 2003-2008 or later
Operating Systems (Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2008 Server)
Experience in troubleshooting in a technical environment
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Expert problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
1 years of .Net development experience - ASP.NET, VB.NET or C# NET, MS SQL, JavaScript, CSS (it’s a plus)
2 years of automated unit test experience (ALM, QTP/QC or Nunit or equivalent) (it’s a plus)
