**Lead Engineer - SQA**

**Description:**
• Drives process improvements and optimization activities for continuous improvement
• Establish strategic plans and framework for the Software Quality Assurance team.
• Defining performance testing benchmarks
• Defining negative testing needed
• Writing real-world testing requirements
• Participate in PRTI Reviews
• Involved in test automation structure for program
• Involved in requirements reviews
• Involved in FMEA and risk analysis
• Provide leadership to less-experienced QA team members.
• Mentor, coach and grow individuals in the team.
• Set goals and development plans for each individual in the team.
• Provide direct coaching to individuals in the team.
• Create and drive Software Quality process and practices.
• Introduce software quality processes and accountability where none existed before, for example, software version numbering schemes, version release notes, defect tracking, defect reviews, sanity (developer) testing, and documentation reviews.
• Application of test concepts to derive targeted testing of complex products (functional, systems integration, and performance)
• Participate in project, spec and design reviews to ensure on-time delivery.
• Design and develop test plans based on input requirements and technical specifications. Implement and maintain detailed concise test plans
• Working closely with the QA Manager, assist in developing, organizing and maintaining QA methodologies and actively engage in rolling out QA organization improvements to projects
• Initiate and contribute to improvements in test productivity to include test coverage analysis and optimization for systems under test
• Partner with technical staff to isolate and debug defects early in life cycle
• Verification of software and hardware interoperability for supported platforms
• May design and develop test tools
• Gain extensive knowledge of Gilbarco product software.
• Review documentation (user manuals, installation instructions etc).
• Develop and execute tests
• Track software defects to closure
• Design and develop automated test tools.
• Trains SQA associates on products and process.
• Gain extensive knowledge of test tools (simulators, serial test etc.).
• Familiarity with test and measuring instruments like oscilloscopes, data logger, AC DC power source, forecourt controller
• May participate in development of documentation
• Advocate for quality product and willing to speak up for the needs of this product
• Lead QA activities for a feature or subset of a project
• Support lab trials by installing, testing, and troubleshooting software.
• Own complete deliverables for a product line and process.
**Qualifications:**
• B.E. (Computer Science /Electronics/Electrical/Communication/Instrumentation) with an experience level of 7- 8 years
• Work experience in validation and testing of electronics cards or embedded software
• Excellent Test planning skills
• Excellent Test management skills
• Experience in Point of sale applications and devices will be a plus.
• Experience with Linux OS environment
• Experience with Java, C,C
• Experience with scripting (e.g., python, vb-script)
• Excellent computer skills (Windows, Excel, Outlook, etc)
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Solid interpersonal skills
• Experience in automation test development and execution will be a plus
• Experience in software testing of client/server and web applications
• Involved in functional testing throughout the product life cycle
• Involved in study and Analysis of the SRS and giving feedback on the same
• Experience in payment systems will be a plus
• Knowledge about the Databases – SQL Server, Oracle, Sqllite, Postgres.
• Experience in leading the team of 6 to 8 members
• Fuel industry experience is a plus.
