Integration engineer will have to do pre-sales engineering and provide integration consultation and articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users from major merchants, enterprise organizations, strategic and channel partners, matching their business processes with PayPal's payment processing services.

**Roles & Responsibilities**

+ Partners throughout the pre-sales, sales, and the end-to-end integration process.

+ Pre-sales engineering and leading solution discovery during pre-contractual stages of strategic partnerships.

+ Provide integration consultation and articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users from major merchants, enterprise organizations, strategic and channel partners, matching their business processes with PayPal's payment processing services.

+ Own technical delivery of a working solution from design, working with partner engineering teams through integration, testing, implementation and launch.

+ Ensure partners implement optimal integration strategies, techniques and user experience best practices.

+ Introduce best integration practices to both existing and new merchants and partners to improve share-of-checkout, conversion rate and enhance consumer experience

+ Work independently and lead discussions or collaborate with other cross-functional teams, including Account Management, Sales/BD, Compliance, Integration Engineering, Product Management, Legal, Information Security, Risk and Operations teams across PayPal as required.

+ Responsively identifies and troubleshoots integration technical issues both internally and with partner or merchants

+ Become a recognized technical expert with the internal product set and act as a guide for Business Development partners in identifying potential solutions for new market verticals

+ Identify any product/functionality gaps and collaborate with internal product and technology teams to define the necessary development to support solution delivery.

+ Represent the full internal and external API capabilities of PayPal and PayPal properties.

**Work Experience and Requirements**

+ Prior experience in integration management or sales engineering & have related experience in sales, engagement management, project, or product management.

+ 3+ years of experience in pre-sales technical support

+ Experience with enterprise organizations preferably retailers/ecommerce/payment gateways/hosting companies, working on shopping carts is desired.

+ Good team player with collaborative approach and ability to forge constructive relationships quickly

+ Able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and flexible approaches

+ Experience with partnering with a sales team throughout the sales process

+ Professional and engaging communication skills with ability to adjust communication styles with all levels of organization, including C-level executives, middle management, finance and operations, technical/IT staff and line personnel.

+ Organized and analytical with a proven ability for attention to detail

+ Confident, outgoing and customer focused personality with a passion for business development

+ Customer focused and willing to go the extra mile

+ Ability to rapidly understand new products and demonstrate adaptive problem solving skills

+ Technical skills, including:

+ Proficient with one or more of the following programming languages: Java, C++, ASP, Ruby, .NET, PHP.

+ Proficient with HTML and JavaScript.

+ Experience with Internet and mobile technologies including Web Services, SOAP, NVP, HTML/HTTP, iOS, Android and leading web and mobile application frameworks.

**Education**

+ Successful completion of a university Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Postgraduate credentials would be a plus although comparable work experience is acceptable.
