Job Overview This position involves testing of sensor related software features and characterization of performance in terms of power and processing time lines. The following defines the main responsibilities:
- Testing of Sensor SW releases to characterize the performance in terms of power and processing timelines. The main focus will be on power measurements.
- Supporting SW development team in analysis and debugging for performance related issues like providing power rail dumps, clock dumps, processing time-lines, analyzing logs and performing measurements on actual physical signals on the devices.
- Desire to understand the power related architectures, designs and details in complex system of chip designs. Passion for achieving ultra low power solutions.
- Understanding SOCs power grids in detail and how they are related to sensors use cases.
- Test plan and test case development and execution for power and other KPIs.
- Creating Dashboard spread sheets about the performance and maintaining and creating support documentation and Wiki pages for the measurement procedures.
- Maintaining the test environments for power measurements and other sensor KPIs for different target chips. Bringing up HW and SW set-ups for sensor power measurements for new SOCs.
- Interact in a team environment with various architecture, power, SW, system, test and test framework teams.
- Driving the process of achieving the set power goals for assigned target SW releases from Sensor test side.

Minimum Qualifications - A minimum of 2 years of work experience with embedded systems, preferably characterizing power on embedded targets.
- Good understanding of test methodology and test processes, including requirements collection, test plan development, execution and error tracking.
- Detail oriented, thorough and analytical approach required with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to time-share and prioritize between multiple tasks is crucial.
- Proven team player that can drive bugs into resolutions across different teams.
- Hands-on debugging skills in the lab using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, voltage sources) to debug issues required.

Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience with Qualcomm power test tools (Hoplite, Spartan, Xerxes, Kratos, Monsoon) preferred.
- Previous experience with standard Qualcomm test automation framework and tools (ATM, ASIA, QXDM, and QPST, QDSS) preferred.
- Previous experience with characterizing CPU utilization and processing time lines preferred.
- Previous exposure to Sensors (inertial, pressure, magnetic, ambient light, proximity, biometric) beneficial.
- Basic understanding of different cellular systems and radio technologies (1x, DO, GSM, WCDMA, LTE, WLAN, BT, GNSS) and multimedia technologies (audio, video, camera) advantage.

Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
