Job Summary: In the area of Service Introduction and Management within the Global Hosting Services (GHS) domain, the Enterprise Directories Solutions Specialist role is responsible for collaborating with the Infrastructure Architecture and the GHS server department to ensure that new architectures and services are aligned with GHS identity and authentication management standards and are appropriately designed with infrastructure capacity and supportability in mind. Enterprise Directories services include, but are not limited to, the following: - Enterprise Directories (Active Directory, etc.) - Identity & Access Management - Siteminder In this role, you will be helping to evaluate the requirements of new projects in support of the business needs of the various Business Units and the Service Delivery teams in order to identify directory-based design requirements and concerns. Your responsibilities will include making sure that new architectures are in line with Global Data Center standards, while participating in the service transition process to prepare GHS to support new services. As part of the evaluations, you will also be investigating new and improved ways in which existing directory and authentication/authorization services can be leveraged to improve overall service performance for GHS customers. You will peer with Service Delivery organizations within IT Services to provide directory services subject matter expertise to ensure successful integration of the designs into the global and regional service deployments. You will also peer with the various GHS Enterprise Directories teams to evaluate production readiness of the new designs, helping to determine the necessary turnover activities (transition documents, knowledge transfers, etc.). With the continued growth at EY, there is be a continued emphasis on expansion through mergers and acquisitions, and you will be involved in the initiatives supporting these integration efforts. You will be working to ensure a smooth transition of new services into EY so that the newly acquired groups have the ability to operate to their full potential in the EY environment. You will also as a liaison for various GHS customers and IT Services departments, assisting them by identifying opportunities for service improvements and by obtaining additional GHS support resources as necessary to provide effective solutions for their business needs. . Essential Functions of the Job: Technical Competence Constant utilization of strong technical knowledge in enterprise directories and system integration, ensuring that applications can successfully be introduced into the EY environment with a specific focus on the impact to capacity and performance of authentication, authorization, and identity management. Working together with engineering functions, review and update infrastructure designs based on standard engineering principles, and have the ability to incorporate local, enterprise and strategic requirements into the designs and product produced. Provide technical knowledge as input into Standards creation, and update on an ongoing basis as products and technologies evolve. Perform data mining for application behaviors and apply results to infrastructure and application evaluation. Sponsor and drive integrated solutions on complex infrastructure designs. Administration Maintain responsibility for individual resource utilization while working on projects. Working with the Solutions Delivery teams, ensure projects are supported correctly and, from this, that they meet deadlines and budgets. Support Service Introduction process, working to identify production readiness requirements and evaluate new and existing systems to determine readiness gaps Client/Team Relationships Partner with Infrastructure Architecture teams, Service Delivery groups, and Project Managers responsible for service development. Close integration with Engineering and Operations services within GHS as well as other Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) domains Liaise with external vendors and suppliers. Build relationships with global application and infrastructure teams to identify opportunities for service delivery improvements

Qualifications:

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities: Apply appropriate design methodologies to service and infrastructure solutions, reviewing and highlighting areas for improvement. Understand and apply architecture standards and principles, global product-specific guidelines, and local regulatory requirements. Recommend opportunities to optimize design and development components (e.g., increase infrastructure utilization). Partner with Service Delivery to design and develop against project roadmaps. Knowledge and Skills Requirements: Technical/Functional skills In-depth enterprise directories experience with large-scale infrastructures, including integration experience with global applications. Experience in solution architecture/design and system integration. Experience in transaction analysis and performance analysis. Broad understanding of the global directory environments, including regional issues and differences. Understanding of global directory requirements and architectures, along with hands-on experience in supporting application readiness. Awareness of the standard service life cycle, with experience in the transition of designs into production rollouts. Additional skills requirements: Must demonstrate leadership in a dynamic, fast paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines. Experienced in people leadership, both for future direct management of a technically focused team as well as good partnering skills in influencing and negotiating across organizations. Self-supporting and independent attitude Supervision Responsibilities: This role is idefined as an individual contributor, and as such, there are no direct supervisory requirements. Other Requirements: As this is a role with global focus and responsibilities, you may be required to work outside of the normal working hours in your time zone in order to partner with other IT Services staff globally. This role may also include travel, both domestic and international. Job Requirements: Education: A degree in Computer Science/Management or a related discipline, plus an industry accreditation or equivalent work experience.
