Technology for Social Good focuses on fostering a more inclusive, diverse and innovative culture across Global Technology through strategic and social good programs that attract, develop, inspire and retain a highly engaged workforce.

Key Social Good Programs:

* Force for Good: Force for Good is an ongoing development opportunity for technology analysts. First year analysts are aligned to teams working to solve a technology problem for a social good organization. Through these projects, analysts as well as JPMC experienced volunteers are able to deepen their skillsets beyond their day to day roles while giving back to the community.

* Code for Good: Code for Good is a 24 hour “hackathon” for students from leading universities to showcase their tech skills while they help a nonprofit solve a technology problem. The event allows JPMC to assess & recruit entry-level talent while the students work on real-time projects. It also provides a development opportunity for JPMC volunteers who serve as mentors and SMEs during the event.

* Youth Programs : Our team runs youth events that range from robotics competitions to prototype challenges. The aim of our youth programs is to encourage the next generation of young people to consider careers in computer science and technology.
/ Role Overview: /
This Technical Lead role will cover all technical environment management for the Technology for Social Good programs across APAC. This includes provide direct technical assistance to program management teams in APAC and managing and supporting a user base of several hundred users across various platforms for APAC. In addition to the APAC specific responsibilities, the technical lead will also be accountable for managing the core data platform for the global Technology for Social Good team. Specific job responsibilities are outlined below:

* Program Support : Direct support of all APAC programs and remote support of Global programs.

o Technical setup and management of Programs in APAC. This includes pre-planning and setup of the events, onsite technical execution, and post-event ramp down.

o Interface with internal partners in GTI, Cyber, Risk, GRE, and Facilities to ensure that all needs are in place for Program Events.

o Interface with external vendors who support programs to ensure that all needs are in place for Program Events and Program Operations.

o Planning and setup of the technology needed to support events, onsite technical execution, and post-event ramp down.

o Assist program management teams with the technical scoping of projects for Code for Good and Force for Good programs

o Conduct technical research to help define the design direction of project scopes and challenge statements for respective programs.

o Work closely with program management teams on the development of template projects for Force for Good and the accompanying technical learning maps.

* End User Support : Support all users across EMEA and APAC

o Ensure all users have signed off on appropriate Systems and Data Guidelines before providing access to charitable development environments.

o Onboard approved users on to approved technical platforms

o Provide training to users on appropriate usage of platforms

o Respond to user support issues and questions; escalate when unable to resolve specific issues.

o Track and provide reports on end users requests and onboarding/offboarding.

o Onboarding/offboarding of users off of technology toolkits

o Leveraging API’s developing automation scripts to onboard/offboard users

o Develop automated reporting solutions to evaluate usage of all technology toolkits and identify exceptions

o Provide training to end users on appropriate usage of platforms

o Respond to user support issues and questions

o Assists users and teams with complex configurations in their virtual environments

o Track and provide reports on end users requests and onboarding/offboarding.

* Technology Environment Management and Architecture :

o Setup of Virtual Machines (servers and desktops) environments to cater to specific development environment needs.

o Work closely with the global technology lead to ensure security of the VM and network architecture.

o Active monitoring of environments and implementation of effective monitoring and alerting tools

o Operate Code Scanning and Penetration Testing Program for all Force for Good Projects globally

+ Document scanning and testing procedures and educate teams on process

+ Assist teams with the preparation for the code scans and pen tests

+ Execute scans/tests with each team

+ Provide reports to teams on results of scans/tests

+ Follow up with teams on identified issues and make recommendations on remediation steps

+ Work with teams to identify resolution paths for identified issues.

+ Document results in system of record

* Manage Global Data Store :

o Manage the active development and customization of our global data store built on top of Salesforce.com

o Serve as a local point of contact for our India-based Salesforce consultant; assists with UAT testing for developed SF tools

o Provides training to our APAC-based team on best practices for leveraging Salesforce, answers questions and encourages utilization of the platform

o Develop greater automation of the global data store including API integrations with external systems to monitor hours, usage and other metadata attributes

o Prepare event data for mass import into Salesforce.com following data definition rules

o Ensure all data is output in appropriately structured formats to support location leader, tech hub leader, and other reporting requirements.

o Develop and maintain the roadmap for the global data store and provide regular updates on the backlog and sprint/release plan

* Volunteer Management :

o Develop and deliver trainings for technical volunteers on programs on topics that range from specific technologies (GitHub to Salesforce) to specific technical roles (Tech Lead, SME, etc.).

o Engage and directly manage all APAC based technical volunteers on programs.

o Respond to all user support and questions from APAC based volunteers and as available provide support with global volunteer questions and support requests

o Ensure that all APAC based technical volunteers adhere to program best practices from security to sustainability.

* Partner and Vendor Interactions :

o Interface with internal partners in GTI, Cyber, Risk, GRE, and Facilities to ensure that all requirements and are either in place or in our roadmaps

o Provide periodic updates to our internal partners on how we map against their requirements and where those requirements fit into our technical roadmaps

Interface with external vendors who support our programs to ensure that all our program requirements are being met or are being scheduled into our build roadmaps

* Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

* Good understanding of operating systems, storage, networking, and virtualization

* UNIX/Linux Systems Administration, troubleshooting and shell scripting.

* Ability to work some overlap hours with US based colleagues

* Very strong English communication skills (written and spoken)

* Ability to work autonomously and follow guidelines without extensive supervision

* Highly detail oriented

* Ability to function well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

* Ability to work effectively within a global team (spread across NA, EMEA, India etc.) whilst influencing and contributing towards the development of the global platform.

* Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.

* Strong knowledge of GitHub/BitBucket including repo administration and ability to train others on usage of GitHub

* Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments including the ability to define desktop and server images for Virtual Machines

* Strong knowledge of application development and prior experience with full stack application development.

* Knowledge of SOAP and Restful APIs

* Knowledge of front end technologies such as HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript

* Experience with databases such as MySQL/PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL

* Prefer individuals with knowledge of Javascript, jQuery and Javascript frameworks.

* Prefer individuals with knowledge of PHP, Python and/or Ruby

* Prefer individuals with some mobile dev experience: Android, Swift, PhoneGap or equivalent.

* Working experience with Salesforce.com or Business Intelligence tools is preferred

Experience with AWS, including EC2, Cloudwatch, and IAM a plus
