**Job Description:**
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be able to learn new, complex products, technologies, and deployment flows quickly.
• Provide technical leadership
• Provide technical review for PRD and BRDs within the End User Computing domain
• Self-starter and highly motivated individual who demonstrates the ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize and effectively meet deadlines while working on multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Provide strong testing, debugging and documentation skills
• Work closely with other R&D teams, product management, release management and support organizations
• Works with development teams through the design and test stages to ensure strict adherence to business requirements and to improve upon new and existing features where applicable
• Develop and manage quality assurance metrics for performance improvement across the entire R&D organization and implements ongoing quality improvement initiatives through interdepartmental teams
• Partner with engineering teams to stay informed of new technologies being introduced and to ensure that system components are designed for testability.
• Provides effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan
• Maintains and improves product quality by completing product audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs and training methods
• Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, recalls, corrective actions, and release postmortems
• Serves as a resource and mentor to the team in the resolution of complex business or technical issues
• Drives and manages testing automation to increase testing efficiency and reliability
• Production, high tier and general troubleshooting support
QUALIFICATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent education required
• 9-12 years of experience with software quality engineering required
• Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
• Sound knowledge of vCenter, vSphere, ESXi, OVF tool, VMware Workstation
• Knowledge of VMware products Horizon View, Horizon Air, AirWatch gateways will be a plus
• Must have a good understanding of building and operating IT systems and services.
• Preferably is aware about Cloud Computing Architecture.
• Experience in Web Application testing, Android Mobile Device testing
• Proficient in Linux distros - SuSE Linux preferably
• Experience with load/stress/performance testing is desirable
• Expertise in assessment, design, build and implement End User Technologies stack
• Strong understanding of different software development lifecycles (Waterfall, Agile/SCRUM) along with the ability to effectively leverage change management software solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical, problem solving and project management ability
• Organized and detail-oriented; able to effectively perform multiple/concurrent tasks within deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Able to work independently and within a collaborative team-oriented environment using sound judgment in decision-making
