Job title – Release & Deployment Engineer Job Description: - Supports a portfolio of applications that deliver services & solutions to both internal & external customers. - Perform Technical Reviews of planned releases to ensure high level quality ensuring support and organizational readiness for the corresponding changes. - Designs, prepares and executes support services strategy. - Ensures compliance and controls required within specific assets and adhering to support standards including knowledge management, configuration, monitoring, training etc. - Reviews releases ensuring post-implementation reviews are conducted as required. - Drives release funnel and support readiness approval for organization. - Assists as needed in Major Incident, potential escalations and problem management issues and reviewing trend analysis. - Consults with team members and other organizations, customers and vendors on complex issues. - Knowledge of Release and Change Management processes to ensure all the releases coming into the systems are tested and documented. - Participates as a member of cross-functional application support or infrastructure technical team(s). - Assists other less experienced team members. Knowledge and Skills Required: - Excellent verbal, written communication skills - Strong problem solving, priority setting and collaboration skills - Possess creative ability, consulting skills, leadership qualities, credibility and self confidence - Good organizational and analytical skills - Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions - Demonstrated ability to work with geographically dispersed teams - Demonstrates fundamental understanding of information management systems and infrastructure - Captures, implements, adapts and improves project strategies and processes to achieve project outcomes - Exhibits a high level of initiative and integrity - Demonstrated influencing skills, high level of technical and team leadership skills - Basic skills in scripting and / or programming language.
