Role & Responsibilities

Cisco seeks a Systems Engineering Manager to provide leadership and guidance to a systems engineering team in support of sales and development efforts.
In this role, you will be planning the technical direction for the team, identifying expertise to grow the team as needed, and facilitating key partnerships between internal, partner, and client organizations.

This is an ideal position for someone who has proven leadership skills in related industry and technical expertise to advance their career in management.

This SE Manager Position will be part of Cisco’s Customer Lead Sales Organization.

As we see unprecedented growth on networking in the Public Sector Customer and PSU Enterprise, we are looking to evolve network for business growth.
The ideal candidate should have an understanding of network and service trends across the industry, lead a team of talented SEs to conceive a set of evolving optimal architectures and then translate into requirements driven into the Cisco Business Units.
As this is a position on Partner Business account this is a very influential position and will allow the individual to drive the Partner Business strategy.

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

- Responsible for the implementation of programs in the region.

- Continually strives to develop the systems engineering team.

- Influential in setting vision and strategies for the region.

- Coach and develop staff; provide performance management, development planning and technical training.

- Develop relationships with customers, partners and corporate service organizations to manage successful technical/business planning that allow customers to gain competitive advantage through use of our technology
- Plan, organize and direct the activities for Partners to drive effective technical/business planning, strategy and forecast accuracy.

- Responsible for focusing on major opportunities, expanding territory business, and driving critical account situations to resolution.

- Recruit, hire and retain the right people for permanent and temporary assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

- Experience managing direct customer engagement
- 15+ years related experience in the internetworking technology industry and management experience a plus.

- Pre-Sales experience
- Typically requires BE/BTech (EE/CS) or equivalent from leading institute
- Specifically this position is focused on the Switching and Routing, but the responsibilities will require an understanding of Collaboration and Datacenter business and its impacts to the end-to-end network.

Have strong skills in the areas of:
