**Responsibilities:**
This developer position is currently open for the best-in-class cloud-based Business to Business e-commerce product. You will be working on Ariba Sourcing, Product Sourcing (Direct Materials), Contract Management, Analytics and Data Enrichment platform. The engineer will be responsible for end to end feature development from requirements, design, and development of software components across global deployments at scale. The primary areas of technology this team works on are Java, Web, REST, Micro services, Angular JS, Spring, Spring Boot and Machine Learning and Analytics on Big Data.
The engineer’s tasks include:
+ Write design specifications, and subsequently implement and unit test the software
+ Work closely with solution managers, architects, user interaction designers, and QA engineers.
+ Presenting ideas for system improvements and building POCs.
+ Assist in customer adoption of new features.
**Knowledge and Skills:**
Technical Qualifications
+ B.E – Comp Science or MS in computer science
+ Solid command of OOD principles with skills in core Java
+ At least four years of experience in coding web based applications
+ At least two years of experience working in a commercial product development environment.
+ Sound knowledge of Computer Science areas and fundamentals
+ Good hold on HTTP protocol and related technologies
+ Good understanding of deployment environments, configuration of applications, change management principles
+ Should possess understanding of least one RDBMS system
+ Proficiency in Core Java and Web services.
+ Basic UNIX/Linux knowledge
+ Experience in Enterprise web applications
+ Knowledge of Application Servers, Web Servers, HTTP, HTML, XML, REST, Web Service
+ Ability to understand problems in software, debug and fix
+ Good Team player and Good Communication skills
+ Knowledge on UI based technologies such as Angular JS, bootstrap, React etc OR Spring Boot OR Machine Learning is a plus
Non-Technical Qualifications
+ Demonstrated ability to take initiative and run new processes in an existing team
+ Follows good coding standards
+ Experience interfacing with customers and technical support
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Domain experience in enterprise software, financial software, ERP systems, or eCommerce solutions is a plus
