**JOB SUMMARY**
The Channel Certification and Training Specialist is primarily responsible for the content and infrastructure needed to support a successful and scalable training and certification program and assisting in developing and executing related strategies and processes. This role is also responsible for supporting the growth of the ANSYS business through Channel Partners by organizing and conducting training and mentoring activities as well as providing technical guidance on complex industry applications, modeling approaches and benchmarks. The Certification and Training Specialist will also work closely with the Channel Operations function to prepare quarterly scorecards and other performance dashboards. The success of this role has direct impact on the success of ANSYS in achieving its growth targets.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
* Assist in developing and executing strategies, processes, tools around channel certification, training and support that align with channel program short-term and longer-term sales growth objectives
* Develop training and certification materials (Sales and Technical) to be used globally. Collaborate with Sales, ACE, Marketing and Development organizations
* Persuade channel principals in Asia to invest in technical capabilities needed to support sales and customer satisfaction objectives
* Coach channel partner technical managers on structure and sizing of technical organization for sales productivity and scale
* Support channel partners effort during pre sales technical phase for driving big / complex deals. Advise on industry applications and related benchmarks for speed and competitive differentiation
* Work closely with Channel partners in Asia to ensure they are trained and certified
* Conduct training and certification activities in person in areas of expertise, namely fluids, mech or EMAG; coordinate with the ACE, Sales Operations and Product Management organizations to cover the full ANSYS portfolio
* Develop, automate and maintain reports and metrics to enable effective execution of the training and certification program
* Contribute to building quarterly reports and scorecards for each Partner to help bring visibility to accomplishments, progress towards yearly goals, and identify challenges
* Organize order processing and compliance training to ensure that Channel Partners are able to perform business related tasks effectively
* Assist with annual Channel Partner Advisory Council meeting
* Identify and communicate issues quickly to management, and recommend solutions for improvement
* Other job related duties may be assigned by management from time to time
**JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
* Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering simulation or PLM industry, including 3 years industry applications experience
* Practical knowledge of CAD, FEA, CFD, and EMAG and other engineering software technologies
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
* Strong planning, project management and communication skills
* International travel of at least 10% required
