Job Overview Qualcomm offers an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced BI development team. We are looking for a candidate who will work with internal customers on a variety of engineering BI projects. This position is for a Senior ETL developer in support of Qualcomm engineering projects. Candidate will be responsible for developing solutions in Informatica, Cisco Information Server (formerly Composite Information Server) and PL/SQL. Candidate will be involved in full lifecycle of software development which includes design, development, testing, documenting and migration.
-Development and testing of Informatica mappings/sessions/workflows, Composite procedures/views on various engineering data sets (mySQL, Oracle, Netezza, SQL Server, etc.). -Development and maintenance of new and existing Web Services and Views using Composite -Support of critical ETL workflow, scheduled load failures, and Virtualized views caching failures. -Test, debug and performance tuning of ETL bottlenecks and Virtualized Data solutions. -Working with QCT Engineering Systems Analyst\Engineers to understand requirements and deliver Business Intelligence solutions. -Working with QCT Engineering, Software Development and Product Test teams; developing metrics which help identify system deficiencies. -Assist with Database design and data warehousing both in Oracle and Netezza environments. -Support System and Database upgrades
ETL: - At least 4 years experience in designing, developing, testing, implementing and support of large ETL applications for data warehouse solutions using Informatica Powercenter 8.x or above in a Linux/Unix Environment -At least 1 year experience using Informatica B2B and Informatica Big Data Edition -At least 1 year experience with Informatica Cloud. - At least 2 years experience in using Composite 5.x or higher, creating Parameterized Queries, Packaged Queries, PL/SQL Scripts, XSLT/Xquery Transformations, Triggers and Views -Experience working with Hadoop/Big Data/HDFS/MapR -Experience with Scheduling tools such as Control M, Crontab, etc. -Strong experience in Linux/Unix Shell Scripting - Strong experience in data analysis, data transformation, data validation, conceptual data modeling and metadata management. - Strong experience in PL/SQL and writing SQL statements, DDL, DML, DCL and TCL database commands. - Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, Kimball methodology and Dimensional modeling concepts like star/snow flake schema. - Strong experience working with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server), semi-structured (JSON) and unstructured data (XLS, PDF, etc), Flatfiles, XML, and high-performance data warehouse appliance like Netezza.
Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
* Working Knowledge of Business Intelligence Data Analysis and Reporting tools such as Cognos, QlikView, Business Objects, OBIEE, etc.
* Prior experience working closely with Application Developers and Systems Analysts.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, listening and interpersonal skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and with a team in a diverse, fast-paced, and collaborative environment
* Proven success working in an on/off-shore development teams
* Prior work experience within the Semiconductor industry a plus
* Informatica DVO Experience or any other QA Tool a plus
* Prior work with Informatica Metadata Manager a plus
* Experience with scripting languages like Python, Perl, etc. is a plus
Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Business Administration and/or Computer Science and/or Information Technology
Preferred: Master's, Computer Science and/or Information Technology
