**Preferred Qualifications**
**You will be in a global internal support team to:**
+ Provide internal production system (Exadata, Oracle database on Linux and Solaris platform) support
+ Design production architecture, migration/upgrade solutions
+ Involve and influence project directions in compliance with PDIT technology standards.
+ Help development team to improve Oracle product quality
+ Research new technologies includes but not limited to Storage/Linux/Network/Database/Java
**Your responsibilities include :**
+ Design production system architecture
+ Ensure production system stability and availability
+ Plan and deploy production system migration/upgrade
+ Involve and influence project directions in compliance with PDIT technology standards
+ System debugging and performance tuning
+ Work with development team closely to improve Oracle product quality
+ Research new technologies includes but not limited to Database/Storage/Linux/Solaris/Network/Java
+ Train junior DBA and other teammates
The successful candidate will be self-sufficient, have experience supporting Oracle database in a large scale data center, and be able to work with minimal supervision. Experience with support-related projects and Oracle applications is an asset.
**Education**
+ DEGREE/MAJOR – Graduation mandatory (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related BS/MS degree)
+ Any Unix/DB/Storage certifications are an asset but not required

**Technical Skills**
+ 7 years working experience supporting an enterprise infrastructure environment, 5 years as an Oracle DBA
+ Strong knowledge and Concept on Oracle 10g, 11g, 11g GRID, HA
+ Strong Oracle database administration, tuning and trouble shooting skills
+ Linux/Unix system administration experience is a must
+ Operational on-call support experience on production, mission critical environment is a must, including hands on experience on regular/routine DBA tasks.
+ Hands on experience of any following technology is a plus:Data Guard, Streams, LDAP, Exadata, Enterprise Manager, Data Warehouse, Shell scripting, Java, Weblogic
**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**
Work with a world class team to provide enterprise-wide, Oracle Database Administration support for production systems and provide DBA services to application development teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and database production support. Provide DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of moderate nature to ensure user productivity.
As a Senior Database Administrator, you are instrumental in researching, evaluating, designing, testing, recommending, and planning implementation of new versions of Oracle database and database tools. May act as a team lead during database implementations and for system operation and maintenance.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years of experience supporting relational databases as a DBA, with multiple distributed relational DBSM
* s or a depth and focus in Oracle and related tools. Success at using the DBMS to optimize performance of large databases for enterprise use is greatly preferred. Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 reliance on its database is desirable. BS or equivalent desired.
