Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) serves as the central provider of technology infrastructure to JPMorgan Chase. GTI has launched a major, intensive, multi-year effort to improve and enhance the support of application messaging and integration technologies on behalf of JPMC's Lines of Business (LOB's). In conformance with GTI's Plan-Build-Operate model for distributed systems, a cross-tower team (GTI Messaging) is being developed and empowered to support this effort. Global Technology Infrastructure Compute (GTI Compute) is responsible for managing the firm's global server and storage portfolio's across plan, build and operate functions. The organization is transforming into a Managed Services provider for JPMC and drives product management, engineering standards and productivity initiatives in support of the Managed Services.
The Emerging Services team will work on products and services that are new or in the process of maturing to meet our standards for "Managed Services". There will be a focus on providing a rigorous and transparent acceptance process to assess the adoption of new services followed by a comprehensive maturity model that will be applied to the portfolio of products and services under management.
Developer Collaboration team provides a suite of products and services for Developers, Testers and Development Managers across the JPMorgan. Our team is populated by bright, forward thinking developers - we're looking for someone smart and productive to join us. Operating as part of the Emerging Services group in Global Technology Infrastructure, these project are run following Agile and Waterfall practices, with a strong focus on quality and teamwork. Existing team members are located around the globe, working together as a cohesive group.
As a Development / Support Lead you will help in supporting, debug and document vendor supplied applications to satisfy requirements of end users. You will provide L3 support to services supported by the group. You will also provide comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level. You will work closely with product owner to test applications according to GTI service standards for performance and usability. Additionally, you will research and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations. In addition this is a Lead position so will Lead and manage local support / development Staff.
Responsibilities:
•Work closely with product owner and service delivery team to ensure appropriate business measures are defined when evaluating and testing new versions of vendor products
•Lead - Support / Development staff onsite, on ensuring process, provide local leadership to staff on a day to day basis
•Examine applications to ensure adherence to Application Engineering guidelines, processes and procedures
•Utilize multiple programming languages and software technologies to ensure applications are suitably fit for use and admissible for maintenance/upgrades
•Test, modify, and implement application codes; make standard modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high-level specifications, application support and industry standards
•Evaluate service level issues and suggested enhancements escalated by Service Delivery Team to diagnose and address underlying system problems and inefficiencies
•Engage third party suppliers on applications support issues
•This position will also support Cyber Security and IT Risk related efforts and contribute to increasing the overall maturity of the security posture of the firm
* College degree in related technical or business area, specialized training and/or equivalent work experience
* Typically requires up to ten years of application development & support experience
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
