**As a Sales & Marketing Specialist, you will be part of Power Grid Division and the Grid Automation Business unit based at Bangalore. Grid Automation is responsible for supplying, substation automation, protection, and control systems, small SCADA systems, power quality systems, RTU-based products and systems, and wide area monitoring and protection systems to the utility market and large process-industry markets globally.In the role of a Sales & Marketing Manager, employee will contribute to the growth of ABB’s Network Control (NC) business in India and Asia-pacific region. NC systems, an integral part of ABB Enterprise Software, are advanced real-time software systems for managing operations in modern control centers. Customers include State and Private Utilities, Industries and Transportation (Metro and Rail).**

Tasks:
As a Sales & Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for following activities:
• Responsible for Network Control Software System orders with an acceptable gross margin.
• Ensure that a healthy order pipeline is maintained for achieving the sales targets.
• Responsible for participating in forums, seminars, and inviting customers to forums for promoting ABB products.
• Meet the customers during the pre-bid activity, understand customer requirements and plan the bid accordingly.
• Identify prospective customers and demonstrate ABB offering with the help of local and global product management team, presales and engineering teams.
• Identify ABB value-add vis-à-vis competition and factor these in the proposal responses.
• Fully abiding by the competitive laws, ensure that the requirements during RFI and product demos are aligned to product baseline.
• Evaluate the customer requirements by closely working with proposal, product and engineering teams. If customizations are required, decide on whether it is best done internally or by outsourcing it to vendors.
• Work closely with Supply Chain Management and finalize orders for vendors.
• Devise a strategy for alliances with system integrators and partners to improve competitiveness and mitigate project risk
• Co-ordinate with sales managers of other teams and formulate a strategy on prime and sub bidders.
• Lead the bid-no bid review and risk reviews discussions
• Responsible for the preparation of Full cost model (FCM) preparation and ensuring that it is in-line with ABB Policies.
• Book orders in the system.
Requirements:
Your 5+ years with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science will be an ideal fit. M.B.A in Sales & Marketing Management is a plus. Should have experience in closing software system orders. It is a plus if such orders were for real-time data acquisition, supervisory control system and advance network application T&D software.
