Free Pattern – Katya Crochet Poncho
The Katya Crochet Poncho is a simple beginner pattern that gets great results! It’s great for a little girl or her mom because it’s the perfect size to fit largely on a little girl and just over the shoulders for that added warmth on mom.
If you know how to chain and double crochet you can easily complete the Katya Crochet Poncho in a few hours depending on time and how fast you crochet. Your friends will be impressed! This crochet poncho is the perfect accessory for any season. We all need an extra “hug” now and then!
Materials:

Size I9 Crochet Hook
Size K Crochet hook
1 skeins (6 oz) Lion Brand Homespun yarn (color A)
1 skein (6 oz) Lion Brand Homespun yarn (color b)
Pattern Level: Beginner
Pattern Stitches (click on links for video demo):
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
Instructions:
Color A panel
With color A and size I hook chain 62
Row 1: 1 dc in third chain from hook, 1 dc in each ch to end, turn – 60sts.
Row 2 – 16: *Chain 2, dc in back loop of each st across to end, repeat from *, bind off.
Color B panel
With color B and size I hook chain 62
Row 1: 1 dc in third chain from hook, 1 dc in each ch to end, turn – 60sts.
Row 2 – 16: *Chain 2, dc in back loop of each st across to end, rep from *, bind off.
Finishing
Attach panel A at short edge to long edge of panel B with one row of sc, bind off. Attach panel B short edge to panel A long edge with one row of sc, bind off.
Edging: With strands A & B attach to front v section with K hook, sc across to end, sl st in 1st st, chain 1 sc across to end, sl st to first st, bind off. Attach two strands with K hook to bottom edge, sc around to end, sl st in first st bind off.
