Lady Saw gets baptized - says good-bye to dancehall

It was on December 14 while at the funeral for young dancehall act, JCapri that Marion Hall, the acclaimed Muma of the Dancehall started a brand new chapter in her life by renouncing dancehall and its lifestyle and embracing Christian moral and values.

After leaving the funeral, Lady Saw found a preacher and got baptised that very same evening.

Sean Paul's wife says Usain Bolt is 'neighbour from hell'

Wen Sean Paul's wife Jodie 'Jinx' Stewart wrote on social media that world's fastest man, Usain Bolt was the neighbour from hell and that he should go back where he came from, the comment echoes across the entire world.

Jinx was subjected to a dressing down that she will not likely forget in years to come. In fact, the outrage was such that the proud Jinx had to get back on social media and offer a grovelling apology to the big man.

Jinx has since made all her social media accounts private.

Two rape charges for socialite Don Creary; co-accused Shaneke Williams charged with aiding and abetting

Socialite and former Jamaica Labour Party councillor, Don Creary, has been charged with a second case of rape.

Creary, who is also a businessman was charged following a question-and-answer session Tuesday in the presence of his lawyer, Tom Tavares-Finson. Allegations are that in June this year, Creary raped the 19-year-old woman at an apartment in Meadowbrook, St Andrew.

The woman reported the matter to investigators in July.

The married 48-year-old former politician has denied the allegation. It is reported that both Creary and the woman admitted to police investigators that they were in a relationship.

Last week, Creary was charged with another case of rape.was granted bail in the sum of four million dollars when he appeared in court. Creary's bail was set at two million dollars with surety on each of the two counts.

He is to report to the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) on Wednesdays and Saturdays and his Travel documents surrendered.

His co-accused 22-year-old Shaneke Williams was granted bail in the sum of one point five million dollars with one to three sureties. Williams faces charges of aiding and abetting and sexual touching.

The charges against the two relate to a 15 year old girl in an incident which allegedly occurred in 2013. Arising from the rape charges, it is alleged that both accused persons are likely to be charged with human trafficking as the child was transferred from one parish to another.

It is also alleged that Creary will be charged with procuring violation of a person by administering drugs.

Tessane Chin splits from hubby Michael Cuffe

In March, it was reported that The Voice Season 5 winner Tessanne Chin was separating from her husband of four years, Michael Anthony Cuffe Jr.

"You have your up days, you have your down days and you have those moments where people need to respect your privacy," Tessanne said of it all.

"Cuffe and I, we're friends. Not every separation has to go through something nasty or be filled with drama. There's no foul play involved, all these rumors are kinda ridiculous and kinda just like, 'Where did that come from?'" she continues. "But it is something that is very personal and it is something that we are going through, and we're both delved into our god and our families have drawn close."

Jah Cure and wife Kamila separate

Amid allegations of abuse, reggae singer Jah Cure and his media personality wife, Kamila McDonald, separated.

The two were married in August 2011, two years after meeting alnd now have a daughter. Those in the know say that Kamila moved out of the matrimonial home on more than one occasion, but usualy found her way back home.

The two seem headed for divorce.

Flippa Mafia guilty

Deejay Flippa Mafia, also known as Flippa Mogglea, was found guilty of drug and money laundering in a New Jersey court in early December.

The 37-year-old - whose given name is Andrew Davis - was found guilty of first-degree distribution of cocaine, second-degree money laundering, and second-degree conspiracy.

The first-degree rap carries a sentence of 10 to 20 years.

Yardflex Dancehall Artiste of the Year 2015 - Popcaan

It was undoubtedly a super great year for Popcaan. Songs such as Never Sober, Weed is My Best Friend, Way Up and Unruly Prayer were anthems in the dancehall.

His weed song was way way up and rocked the dance and the charts in a huge way.

Internationally, Popcaan's guest spot on British producer/DJ Jamie XX's I Know There's Gonna Be Good Times (with rapper Young Thug) charted in the UK and Australia.
