MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A Myrtle Beach Police Department report says an employee at the Atlantic Hotel gift shop called police after a woman tried to use credit cards and an identification card that did not belong to her Monday morning.

The gift shop employee said a woman, later identified as April Sunshine Fry, 39-years-old from Elizabethtown, TN, tried to use a credit card on the ATM machine several times around 10 a.m., but the card was denied.

Fry then attempted to purchase a few bracelets, and placed an ID card on the counter along with two credit cards. The employee said she checked the ID card and determined it and the two credit cards did not belong to Fry. After being questioned about the cards, Fry gathered her things and left the store.

The gift shop worker walked outside and said Fry and a male subject were seen running north on Ocean Blvd. Fry also left a slip from the ATM that said she was an unauthorized user. A short time later, the employee flagged down police and advised them of the situation.

After locating her, the officer asked Fry what she had in her purse, and placed her under arrest after she handed him the credit and identification cards.
