Americans are spending millions of dollars every year on medications, and for doctor and hospital visits. Some of this money could be saved with a little preventive maintenance. It is called exercise! Combine a little exercise with a decent diet and you can go a long way towards reducing disease, depression, and everyday illnesses.
Most importantly is that you can get exercise without spending a dime, yet how many of us are doing it? Obesity rates, along with the rates of heart disease, stroke and diabetes in America are embarrassing. Is our powerful Nation falling to our own laziness?
Some of you spend hundreds of dollars every few months to maintain a vehicle, and spend thousands each year to maintain a healthy lawn for your home. You want your investments to look good, last a long time, and perform well. What good are any of your investments if you are not healthy enough to enjoy them? Do you hope to enjoy some type of retirement? Wouldn't it make a little sense to increase your odds of living that long?
There are ways to exercise without spending a dime. A small space in your home is all you need to stretch your muscles, do pushups, crunches, jumping jacks, jump rope, pull-ups and much more. You can't even use weather as a viable excuse! You truly do not need to sign a contract with your local gym or to run out and buy bulky, space eating fitness equipment.
Is motivation your problem? If you are not getting the support you want or need from friends and family, there are online alternatives that are free to join and use, where you can get fitness and diet ideas, record your stats, photos, and workouts, and at least one of these online clubs gives you access to message boards and chat rooms, and you can search for workout buddies across the country to help keep you going.
If you need more than motivation and would like a little guidance, there are at home fitness programs available that have the benefit of offering years of experience behind each program. There are programs available for people of all fitness levels that you can do in the privacy of your own home, and work out at your own pace.
Is your problem in your diet? Take a look at all of the available supplements to help you get the nutrition you need, no matter what your schedule is. There are nutrition filled meal replacement drinks, vitamin packed snack bars, and pills with just about any type of vitamin, mineral, and herb.
Believe it or not, if you need a little help figuring out what to do next; you can even have access to free fitness coaches. At least one of the online clubs that I mentioned earlier offers every single new member a free coach to help motivate them and guide them towards their fitness goals.
I challenge you to help change the trend of obesity in America, starting with yourself. You can do it and others will see that, and then they will believe they can do it too. Let's start a new epidemic; an epidemic of healthy bodies for a stronger Nation.
