*Position Overview:*
- Participating in all aspects of product testing, including test plan development, execution and delivery of well-tested solutions with short time to release.
Essential Duties
*-*Tests software applications according to specifications. Identifies and documents issues encountered during testing.
*-*Collaborates with quality assurance team and software development to resolve issues and enhance the application.
*-*Researches issues in order to identify root cause, documents and reproduces problems.
*-*Develop test plans and detailed test cases for new product functionality. Participates in the execution of functional and regression testing.
*-*Provides estimates and project tasks for testing assignments.
*-*Completes the assigned QA Projects from inception to implementation with minimal supervision.
*-*Assists and cooperates with co-workers, supervisor and management.
*-*Assists QA Engineers on areas of the application in which you are a Subject Matter Expert.
*-*Assists in training QA Engineers on department process and procedures.
*-*Identifies problems and performs research to provide timely solutions.
*-*Provides the highest level of customer service to customers, whether these are current or prospective clients of the Company, vendors, staff, business partners or visitors.
*-*Significant daily use of Microsoft SQL that includes writing database queries, analyzing results, database backups, database restores, and analyzing stored procedures.
*-*Manages confidential client, financial and employee information with discretion and good judgment in accordance with department and company guidelines.
*-*Demonstrates a dependable work ethic.
*-*Collaborates with supervisor to develop skills and knowledge.

Success Indicators:
- All QA assignments are completed on schedule.
- Successfully completes QA projects with minimal guidance.
- Able to develop and execute test plan and test cases for projects successfully with minimal assistance.
- Escalates issues to the appropriate resources when roadblocks occur and maintain ownership of the issue to successful completion.
- Documents, troubleshoots and isolates problems encountered during testing with minimal assistance.
- Successfully performs multiple technical assignments while adapting to changing priorities.
- Recommends process improvement to Senior QA Engineers and Supervisors.
- Consistently demonstrates success with minimal intervention of a Supervisor or other QA Engineers.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
- 3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- HealthCare background and EDI Testing experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Knowledge of quality assurance policies and procedures and general Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.
- Demonstrated ability to visualize and create end-to-end test scenarios along with functional and regression test plans.
- Experience with MS SQL Server and proficiency in writing SQL Queries.
- Excellent planning, organization, prioritization and time management skills.
- Strong software troubleshooting and software problem analysis skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple activities with changing priorities simultaneously and escalate risks.
- Competency to utilize Company software and proficiency in Microsoft software applications and a willingness to learn new systems as necessary.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and Fast Paced Environment.
- Ability to function as a team player and to be a self-starter.
