So here we are to officially announce DuckDuckGo as the default search engine for X Distro. Unlike other distributions out there, this time we decided to take a bold step for our user’s privacy by not keeping Google or some other Search Engine who keep a track of your activities. We thought to have DuckDuckGo with us; a search engine which respects you, your privacy, your data and even your recommendations. Other than this, we even observed that the accuracy of the search results are much better compared to others. If you track us on twitter you would have seen we tweeted about this few month back just to show what’s the future but here we are with one of our future development.

Future integration will be similar to this where you can directly search thing from your dash but on the same time we assure you that your keystrokes won’t go directly to their server until you want to search it by clicking them.
