The Games designers have Chosen from a massive array of International stars, but looking at the starting selection we have to wonder why the Dutch (8/39 Legends), have only won 1 Major International Competition. If we pair the Legends off to their own Era, we see Marco Van Basten, Ruud Gullit, Frank Rijkaard in the Dutch Uefa European Winning Squad. We also see Patrick Kluivert, Dennis Bergkamp, Ronald De Boer, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, and one of only 2 Goalkeepers to make the Legends Squad Edwin Van Der Sar.

The Countries that are Represented in the initial launch list are in the table above. It is exceptionally strange that there are so few Spanish players and we can name so many that have made an impact, but it is also strange that the legendary figures that are Zinedine Zidane and Portugal’s Luis Figo are also missing. However we have picked out 2 of the greatest in recent footballing history that will impress you even more:
Dennis Bergkamp: “I have always said Dennis Bergkamp will remain the best partner I have ever had. He is a dream for a striker.” who said that? Thierry Henry thats who.

In addition to the release of the list of players involved in the Legendery edition EA SPORTS has released information refarding a new blog headed up by one of England greatest Right backs in History.
EA SPORTS have announced that Gary Neville joins EA SPORTS in a FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) ambassadorial role for the 2013/14 season.in addition to all of this:
Neville’s role will see him contribute a regular bi-weekly column hosted on www.easports.com/uk/fifa - utilising his insightful and deep understanding of the game, he will be looking at the Premier League in-form players and teams as well as discussing the hot topics surrounding the world’s most exciting league.
England coach and the most-capped right-back in the country’s history, Neville was also recently announced during the EA press conference at gamescom as part of the Xbox exclusive FUT Legends content within FIFA 14. He will be available alongside some of the world’s greatest players including Pelé, Marco van Basten, Lothar Matthäus, Dennis Bergkamp, Gary Lineker and 33 other past masters of the game.
Neville said of the deal: “It’s great to be working with the team at EA SPORTS. FIFA has become such an integral part of football culture that I hope to bring benefit to the fans. FUT really is a phenomenal success and you can see why as we all like to think we can manage an Ultimate Team of superstars, I can’t wait to see myself out on the (digital) pitch again.”
Shaun White, EA Head of UK PR commented: “We’re delighted to have signed Gary for the 2013/14 season. His knowledge of the game is unrivalled and we’ll be working together to give FIFA 14 players a deeper insight into the real world of football that will enhance their FIFA Ultimate Team experience.”
FIFA 14 will be available on the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, PC and other platforms in the UK, as well as later this year on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStation 4.
“Hello and welcome to the first of my fortnightly columns. I hope that I will be able to highlight a few players who might have escaped your attention and help you to make informed decisions that will improve your FIFA Ultimate Team.
The start of the season has featured everything football fans love; great goals, surprise results and new emerging talent. Benteke and van Persie have both hit the ground running, and Benteke in particular has shown why clubs were chasing him in the closed-season. We’ve also seen injuries take their toll on Ben Foster and Lukas Podolski who both made this week’s EA SPORTS’ Team of the Week, receiving overall player boosts. It’s a shame both are out for a considerable time and won’t be able to build on their early season form.
As for new heroes, Cardiff fans definitely have one in Fraizer Campbell, who made the EA SPORTS subs bench for his two goals against Manchester City, and Norwich supporters are clearly taking to Ricky van Wolfswinkel although I wonder what they thought of him only having 12 touches in 90 minutes against Everton. The last outfield player to play 90 minutes in a Premier League game and have fewer touches was David Wheater who took 10 for Middlesbrough against Fulham back in 2007, scoring with one in a 3-1 win.
While it’s clear who the stars of the opening weeks were, I’m keen to highlight a few names who you might not have considered for your FUT team. It’s early days but I have been very impressed with Southampton’s Luke Shaw and he could be one to watch especially if you’re going to build your chemistry using English players in FIFA 14.
Also I can’t finish without saying how delighted I am to have been included as one of the original Legends for the Xbox version of FIFA 14. The list is a real who’s who of the past 30 years and it’s great that EA SPORTS considered me worthy to go in the game.”
