June 29, 2016 – The Indianapolis Children’s Museum announced today their largest expansion in 40 years. The expansion will be the addition of a 7.5 acre indoor and outdoor sports experience known as The Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience at The Children’s Museum. The expansion is set to open in the Spring of 2018.
The expansion is being praised as a “new national model for fitness”. The key components of the sports park will include:

The Sports Legends Pavilion and Plaza presented by the Efroymson Family Fund
Pete & Alice Dye-designed Golf Experience presented by Henry and Christine Camferdam
The Children’s Museum Guild Fantasy Tree House of Sports Climbing Experience
Wiese Field donated by Elizabeth Bracken Wiese and J. Frederic Wiese, Jr.
