Arcade Fire recently wrapped up a massive tour in support of Reflektor. Now, the band may be teaming up with director Kahlil Joseph to create a film surrounding the band’s music. Pitchfork reports that Joseph screened a raw version of the film to students at the California Institute for the Arts. Joseph has worked on projects in the past with artists like Flying Lotus & Kendrick Lamar.
Joseph was credited to a video uploaded to Lux Artists Ltd. website depicting a live performance of the track “Afterlife”. There is no word as to what exactly the film will entail or if it will even extend beyond the footage that was already released.
Arcade Fire have been creative in the announcement/release of their material in the past though, this will be something to keep an eye on.
